last season and this season. I guess its hindsight now but I guess this is the reason you have the backup do more than hand the ball off or play a few series in mop up duty. Looks like the rest of the season could now come down to a guy that has barely any real game experience with a defense that is nonexistent.

This season is over who cares how we finish. I’d play every inexperienced player we had the rest of the way to gain meaningful snaps because it really don’t matter losing 3 games is the same as losing 6 games. Obviously the guys we had playing didn’t get the job done during the season so I’d build on the future everyone should play the rest of the way.

Hes in his 3rd yr, and 2nd in the system. At least he's at home so won't be dealing with a crowd.

And he better get used to the idea of no defense, because we may be worse on that side of the ball next yr.

What are you talking about?

The dude is in his 4th season with like 4 starts and a half vs the SEC champions.

Nuss will be fine

And your solution is to have a bunch of earlier games depend on the exact same thing.

It never ceases to amaze me the way some fans don't understand that there is an entire world of practice that happens. Practice is when he gets the experience that teaches him to be competent and good. Only once he he is good in practice, should he be put in meaningful games.

The fact that they tried to put Daniels back in when he was clearly shaken up reinforces what we've seen of Nuss. He is a QB who does not have the ability to read the field and find the right guy. Neither the game field nor the practice field.

In what game? And at what point? He has been one snap away from starting all year. As the #2 the job requires being ready to go in and be successful. He got meaningful snaps against Alabama. Not meaningful enough?

LSU shows him as a RSo, so I'd guess he's in his third year.

Yeah, I checked, 2021 was his first season.

You don’t just throw the towel because you aren’t winning the championship. That breeds mediocrity

I don’t think it’s been decided that Daniels will not play this weekend. Today is decision day is what I thought I heard.

I didn’t say throw in the towel I said I believe everyone should play. If they have players that they think can contribute next season they should get some seat time now. Most of these guys don’t make it to their senior year and even if they do they only play or contribute heavily in one or two seasons. I’d play everyone I thought had a chance at contributing next season to get some experience under their belt, especially on defense.

Are you saying that he sucks?

Because I’m of the opinion that he should have played more against Auburn, etc.

That being said, I’m not sold on Nuss.

We will see at some point, but outside of a half against UGA, who was already celebrating, what has he done to date?

I hope that he balls out, but as of now, I haven’t seen much to get excited over.

This is big boy football, not JV everyone gets to play. The season is far from over, we are trying to win games. You all act like you’re straight with losing games to SEC opponents for development. The best play, the rest have spring and summer to prove themselves.

Why?

I’ve really enjoyed watching one if the greatest QBs to ever wear the P&G lead one of the greatest LSU offenses ever.

Some of you guys need to wake up, we are watching a great player.

Honestly Daniels could rest all week and play Saturday if cleared I would think.

He knows this offense, so not sure how much more practice he would need

backup QBs don’t get meaningful snaps unless the starter is hurt or not good.

He had 84 pass attempts last year (27 in the SEC championship/ 15 in the bowl game. I’m all for having backup QBs getting meaningful snaps, but your expectation for what that entails is unrealistic. Matt Flynn had 78 attempts in his first 3 seasons combined.
