Yeah, I have hard time seeing him not getting a fat paycheck this year.

Ruckert and Pearson will likely also be starting, and Patrick will have a chance but I wouldn't pencil them in as locks.
I can see Ruckert starting, but I'm fairly positive we recruit over Pearson. He'll be 22 by the start of next baseball season and hasn't shown a consistent ability to hit SEC pitching. The defense got better, but it's not nearly enough to offset the lack of bat.

Patrick could certainly improve, but he'll have to show it early. We're not going to spare any expense in the outfield portal wise. Jay likely recruits over him and makes him really earn a spot.

Typically in a season only about 13 pitchers really contribute. Having 7-9 you can count on usually will get you through the weekend.

Yep

I don't think our arm talent is as bad as our season reflects. Rather, Jay needs to really take a hard look at our approach to pitching. IDK where the breakdown occurred but it was season-long and with rare exception, no one improved.

Samuel Dutton would be a case in point. His LSU stats would've fit right in this year. But he transfers to Auburn and becomes their Friday starter and his ERA improved like a run/game.
