Defining everybody will make your point moot. I definitely don’t want to see him fired.

I want the offense to be better but we’re not done with this season.

Personally, I’d give Blake a shot on the cheaper end. Let him see what he can do for a year or two. Throw some good incentives in there. Spend the extra cash in the portal.

Either way we are in a bad spot, BK has lost the fan base, he’s too expensive to fire and we made him too rich to care. We will have to find someone willing coach here on the cheaper end and hope it pans out, Blake would be my option

I’ve been saying it since last season: wait until Kelly’s contract expires, then hire a coach to keep the program afloat for 10 years while Cignetti gets more division 1 experience. Then, hire Cignetti for the 2042 season. Just be patient.

LSU is a destination job. It is not a place for on the job training to be a HC!

Most in Arkansas feel Petrino will jump from interim to head coach again. If Baker doesn’t get a head coaching job after this season, I could see a scenario where he becomes coach if Kelly is let go. It wouldn’t be until after next season at the earliest though.

It is silly to begin a discussion about replacing BK without discussing a replacement for AD. Do you want Scott choosing another football HC?

We can't afford the buyout + new staff + nil
But if Todd and and crew want to write a fat check..

Lashley at SMU
Lea at Vandy
Sumrall at Tulane
And our very own Blake Baker would be the short list imo.

We don't need a 10mm head coach. We need someone hungry to prove themselves at the highest level.

If I were in charge of the search I would definitely have a long talk with Baker about his thoughts on offensive philosophy and a potential offensive staff. I can't make him my #1 without knowing more about what a BB offense would look like but he could very well jump to the top.

Georgia is a better job and they hired a first time HC
Oregon is just below LSU and they did the same

Surely you don’t believe that CBK would leave $40 million on the table and leave disgracefully with the highest winning percentage of football coaches at LSU in the last 50 years or more. He hasn’t gotten us to the top of the mountain but we are definitely not anywhere near the valley.

Are we the only program in the country that always wants to fire the head coach but retain the majority of said fired coach's staff?

So, your great plan is to wait 16 years and then hire an 80 year old guy to be the coach????? Jesus dude.
