1959 was undefeated like 2011.

5 LSU wins total at home since 1969. All since 2000.

To be honest I was mortified by this past year's LSU/ Bama game. I don't know how Kelly survived the horrendous 3-game stretch this past season, but he's definitely on the clock this year, bigly.

And lost to an SEC rival in the Sugar Bowl, 0 - 21.
ETA: ...After beating them in a close, low scoring game during the regular season.

All time? You have to include 1969 Tigers. One of the best I’ve seen. Got screwed out of a major bowl.

I concur my paw-n-law played on that team. On another note I still want to bring up WHY we can’t make claim to the 1908 title. I want 5 on the resume

Not sure ‘team’ is right term but as far as ‘season’, it was 2003 for me. I wasn’t sure I’d ever witness an LSU Football MNC.

2019 of course, but 07 was a very underrated team. Many wins in final top 15 rankings

It is a subjective list from my experiences. That final game along with losing the Bama game the next year took a lot from a memorable season.
2006 is also not on the list. Nor 2023. Expectations and whether the team over or underachieved has a lot do with it.
Top 3 to me will always be 19, 03, and 01 because those teams shattered glass ceilings.

Just atrocious here. Embarrassing, really.

The 1969 team should definitely be in the Top 10 LSU teams. The loss to Ole Miss and being disrespected by the bowls has cost them the respect they deserve.

I have a hard time getting on board with early teams like 1958 because although they were relatively elite teams at the time, they would lose by 40+ points against a team today.
Training, nutrition, equipment, and strategy all advance over time. Even the best teams of the past would struggle with mediocre teams today. There’s no real reason to compare teams over time if you’re going to judge teams against the standards of the present. By that metric the last 3 LSU teams are probably better than all but 2019 and possibly 2011. You have to judge teams relative to their own time for this kind of exercise to make sense. Billy Cannon would have been bigger, stronger, and faster if he had access to all the advantages of today.
