The Walk Ons near campus usually has a band the night before. That's usually a decent spot for post grads.

If you and ya baws are missing the BBQ from home, head to Jay's BBQ on Government Street. On a side note, do you carry?

Prepare to be highly disappointed in the atmosphere of Baton Rouge if you are all used to Athens. Might just want to stick on campus for tailgating.

don't know why this got heavily downvoted. I've lived in both places. Athens is universally known for being one of the very best college towns in the nation. Baton Rouge - no.

Exactly. I guess they just haven't been to Athens. I haven't been to BR in quite a while, but somehow I don't think building a Chipotle on the north side of campus really made everything that much better.

The rule is don't go on streets named after presidents or states. I hope y'all didn't see something cheap and close on a map and choose something there or you will need to proceed with extreme caution.
Athens is a small "College Town." BR is a metropolitan city with a College located in it. Just stay close to the LSU campus and you'll be OK. Don't venture north of the campus on Highland Road. Please don't get lost and wind up anywhere north of I10-12/Florida Blvd...………..

Best Brunch: Bistro Byronz

Rum House is the best and best kept secret in BR Brunch scene. Runs about $30 for Bottomless food(it AIN'T a typical buffet) and booze but it's so worth it.
