Elite college football is pretty closely mirrors the NFL. QBs win championships because at the top, everyone has athletes on defense.

Based on everything I’ve heard and read. Nussmeier is the only QB that can make a very good team even better.

Running and picking up 3rd downs when there’s no other option is great (well done, Jordan Jefferson).

But a QB who can pick apart a defense with their arm, decision making, and accuracy should win the QB competition 100% of the time, especially when the WRs are elite.

Nussmeier isn’t slow anyways.

Yes, I think a Daniels-lead LSU offense will be able to move the ball well against just about any college defense. However, the elite of the elite will probably make him look like the minor league QB he is.

Unless Nussmeier has been turnover prone in practice and scrimmages, CAN ANYONE ANSWER THIS, play him now.

If the WRs are as good as advertised, let the better passing QB play.

Team Nussmeier

- accuracy
- decision making
- arm strength
- quick release
- mobility

Give him the ball. Let him prove he’s just a “fall ball Heisman”. The WRs deserve it.

Whether he starts the first game or not, he’ll have his shot.

We don't know any of that to be true (or false). Let the coaches decide based on actual observations.

Ive heard much different reports. JD cannot be stopped in practice and Nuss is turning the ball over.

Even if it was dead heat, CBK isnt going to choose a true sophomore with 0 starts over a seasoned 4th year QB with 30 career starts..

It's Daniels

God help me. This idiot is convinced Nuss is better based his his exemplary play versus Arkansas lol. Or maybe Nuss’ love of team by opting out of the Bowl game. Yep he knows more about champion QBs than the coaches who have their career’s on the line. Yep he’s been to every practice and this Rant expert needs to be running things not our $100 million coach. Based on what we know, this idiot can only be basing his opinion on one thing and it ain’t the QBs play on the field, bc JD has shown far more than Nuss. I don’t know who will start but I damn sure ain’t coming on the Rant stating opinions based on lack of knowledge and personal biases. So do me a favor and just STFU.

All your post is based purely on your personal preference for zero facts.

You can switch out Nuss with Daniels and list the same things and have the same argument

Coaches are always right, I know

Joe Burrow wasn’t given the ball at Ohio State.

We’ll there’s that.

Upside is much higher with Nussmeier

It’s pretty cool how you can think I’m an idiot based on your own logic

I actually thought Nussmeier looked unimpressive this past season.

But he was a true freshman.

The fact that Daniels hasn’t been named the starter already based on his experience etc says a lot about Nuss

Exactly. I can’t imagine he will play a down in the NFL.

OP assumes a black athletic quarterback can’t possibly improve his play year over year like Burrow and be high IQ enough to run a team at a championship level. He’s boxed him into being solely a running QB forever and ever. OP may not even realize his blatant racism.

Bruh, the man who’s paid 100M and has everything to win or lose on these decisions will evaluate every snap and every football and non football decision these two make. And the one that gives us the best chance to win will play. Period. We don’t need your thoughts on it. Or anyone else’s. If they both can help us win, they’ll both play some packages.

We will all find out soon!

Wrong

If he did those things, they’d be no competition. It’s as simple as that

ETA: This needs to be posted over and over. Not knocking Nuss, but both of these QB's will get their chance, unless one of them lights it up, then we have our QB.

100% and both can be successful. It doesn't really matter which one starts IMO.

What evidence do you have that he is better than Daniels with any of the above other than "quick release"?

It was a meaningless exhibition that only some message board f as care about. Him preserving eligibility is potentially better for the team in the long run certainly more than playing in 1 meaningless game.

The guy who can answer this happens to be the same guy who will make the decision…lucky, huh?
