I feel Like we’ve been looking for an efficient passing game that can compliment and set up a strong running game for a fricking decade
How about a strong passing game that compliments a strong running game?

That would be awesome. My point is that we don’t really need that. And also I don’t see us going from what we had last year to a truly prolific passing attack this year. But I don’t see any reason why we can’t or won’t imrpove. The bottom line is I don’t really care about raw passing yardage totals in a vacuum. I can’t get excited about slinging the ball all over the field and racking up big passing stats if we don’t do it efficienty and it doesn’t complement our running game nor equal a more competent and high scoring offense overall.

No.
Assuming we are talking not including the bowl game, since Ro's bowl game did not count.
Which means in 12 games he'd have to average 279 yards/game, unless we get to the SECCG and he has a 13th game. With 13 games he'd have to average 258 yards/game.
I'll say he won't break Ro's record, even if given 13 games.

278 yards a game? I'll go with yes, that's definitely attainable.
I don't know about the All-time SEC numbers that Buckeye is expecting though.

224 per game if you have us going undefeated...

I answered yes but hopefully in games we build a lead we get Brennan some good in game reps unlike we did with Mett in 2011

I will believe it when I see it. With the solid running backs we have, I can’t see Orgeron slinging the ball that much. Just not his style, though I hope I’m wrong.

No. Not because it's not possible but if he is playing that well with this defense he might be sitting out some 4th quarters

Boy this is tough. Yes or no.
Hmmmm
Gonna say yes.

No one will break Josh Reeds single season reYds record, but I think Justin Jefferson has a shot at #2

I'm going no. He might be able to catch the single season td record. But he will also run the ball more than the 3 at the top.

I agree. We want the open passing attack so we can be effective, less predictable and hopefully better in scoring opportunities. That doesn't mean we need to sling it all game long. We have a great stable of RBs and we are going to grind it with the running game as well.
The other reason I doubt we break records passing is the defense will be exceptional this year and a lot better than the 2001 team. We aren't going to be in a shoot out with many teams. Like it or not, if we get a nice cushion against teams we are probably going to throttle it down a bit. The staff wants to feed the RBs as much as they want to air it out which is fine as long as the offense doesn't start to stagnate.

He needs to average about 255 a game to break it, and that might be just a bit too high.
Don’t think this record would include bowl games

Bowl games have counted for additional stats since 2002-2003 season

Nah. We will run the ball too much. Including with Joe himself. But he'll have a good year. Hopefully.

The Alabama game pretty much locked up that Ro would hold that record for a very long time.
Not really. It’s more of a reflection of poor QB recruiting/development coupled with offensive philosophy. As stated, nowadays postseason stats are added, but due to some buffoonery they didn’t make that retroactive. So Ro’s record is only in an 11-game season, and including SEC Champ Game (he didn’t play long anyways), but excluding the bowl game.
Now there are 12 Regular Season (one extra chump game), SEC Champ Game, and either a Bowl Game or up to 2 more playoff games.
