The kid has taken some flak recently, and I was really happy to see him make some big plays last night and thought it necessitated its own thread to give him some props.

I'm glad for him. I really hope these performances start becoming the norm for him in this, his senior season.

If he is playing well it can only help the team. Could be a real game breaker.

It took him what, 4 years to have a breakout game against Idaho?

Although I agree with these sentiments....there is something ironic about having to make it in the senior yr of one of the most highly touted recruits in LSU history.

That was a nice catch. I'm thinking that got the monkey off his back.

i see what you're saying, and i agree. i really thought he was going to be as good as, if not better, than percy harvin. having said that, i would love to see him blow up the rest of this season. if it's hard for us as fans to understand why he hasn't panned out (so far), imagine how he feels.....

Miles had plays for him last week also. Recall that he dropped, two in a row in or near the red zone.

This week Shep looked confident and produced when thrown the ball. Very good job and let's keep it going. Shep is an incredible talent but he's had difficulty. All the support in the world for more big games.

i really think he's gonna break out the rest of the year. he's had some drops these first few games but he's getting wide open enough for Mett to throw the ball his way.

Yes, I think he is a good kid. Hope he continues to improve. I really hope he somehow makes it in the NFL.

He caught some nice passes but came right back and dropped a couple of easy ones.

He had a good.. not great performance. Consistency is his problem.
