Refreshing change to see young, up and coming coaches with something to prove and more relatability with the players.

LSU went from the oldest coaching staff in the country last year at average age of 58, to one of the youngest now at average age of 38.

One hell of a transformation:

You do have to give him credit for that. I was really beginning to think he could never change because he is too damn stubborn to ever learn from past decisions that turned out to be terrible ones.

That’s one of the things we need to give credit to O for, is not being scared to make changes, and to fix his mistakes. That’s something I wish the previous head coach would have done

If all you needed to do to win was hire young up and comers, I think it would be easy to hire coaches; however, there is more to it than just that.

I think you’re confusing Les with O. He’s been quick on the trigger to fix stuff that isn’t working.

My god some of you are quick to give out participation trophies. They haven’t even coached a game yet and you’re already throwing out pats on the back.

Y’all are salty as frick. When things bounce back, don’t want to see fans like y’all acting like you were on the train the whole time.

I have no problem with O. You don’t see me starting threads crying about wanting him fired every other game like someone I know. I’m just not going to start giving out attaboys for the simple fact that the coordinators he hired are young.

I got a letter asking me if I was interested in becoming part of the new LSU FB coaching staff.
Addressed to “Occupant”.

this age obsession is bizarre. It’s not about age, it’s about hiring the right coaches, regardless of age.

And you're quick to forget 2019. We're only one season removed from the GOAT. I don't think anyone has proclaimed all issues fixed, but we've seen a pretty significant philosophical shift in terms of coaching hires. No one knows how it's going to work out.

Why is he getting credit for fixing a mistake but not criticism for making the mistake? He’s not at a point in his career where he should be learning on the job and especially at LSU.

Every year that he spends correcting a mistake is ground lost on Alabama and Clemson. All of the momentum built from 2019 has been completely lost.

Randomly favoring a demographic is just the way things are now. Pick one and either rage against it or say it is oppressed, you'll get some play. I wouldn't be mad if 70 year old Saban was on staff, I don't care about age. Bruce Arians is old. Andy Reid is old.
