I said the same thing in a previous post. Have the legislature pass a law to for public health reasons to ban day games through the middle of September or October and have Landry sign it. There would be nothing the SEC or ESPN could do about it.

Maybe they can also pass a law that the Nachos will always be hot and the beer will always be cold while we are at it.

You realize kids play sports all throughout the summer in the middle of the day in Louisiana, right? They would laugh at you if you brought this to them

How about stop being fricking pussies and hydrate/dress accordingly before the game. Mix a few waters in with those beers you’re pounding.

Nah they wanna sit on their asses in the AC all summer and then whine when they do something outside cause they aren’t acclimated to the heat. This was never an issue because people used to do stuff outside instead of avoiding the heat at all costs

Williams-Brice had huge tubs of free water in addition to plenty of fountains where a person could refill bottles. I’ve only seen the latter in the WSUD.

LSU needs these all over the stadium. This is what they had at W-B:

we left at halftime ( we both 58) 2 water’s yesterday was $11.50. Then you have the press talking shite while seating in the air conditioned press box

Charge whatever you want for soft drinks, but water should never be more than say cost+10%. It's sinful to gouge the frick outta people for water when it's damned near triple digits outside without a cloud in sight.

If you didn’t sit inside on your arse all summer in the AC you wouldn’t have had a problem. The saddest part is people talking about how they left because their kids couldn’t handle it. Unless those kids are toddlers they should be acclimated to the heat unless you let them sit inside all summer instead of going outside and playing. This is why everyone is fat as shite now too. Gotta be comfortable sitting in the AC 100% of the time

And how does concessions NOT HAVE COLD WATER PREPARED?????????????????????? Did they think the temps were going to be in the 60s? Every hot game they run out of water in 1st quarter. No plans.

If we’re writing a bill why limit it to months before OCT. “There shall be no day games played in Death Valley”

It's not government's job to regulate when athletic events start.

Actually, no. There was a match up against Texas A&M in the early 90’s where people were dropping like flies. There was talk back then about banning day games in early September.

The key is to write it so that it doesn't prevent LSU from hosting baseball regionals and supers. Also, don't want to write it to where the network says we can't give you the 2:30 game, so we'll put you at 11:00

So you're not actually concerned about fan safety, you just want football games at night?

Is there a state health official that can determine it's unsafe to have fans sit through that?

No one is making fans go to the game. If you don’t like it, sit your arse at home in the air conditioning.

It's absolutely about fan safety. When I said that the law has to be written to not allow networks to set an 11:00 kick off because 2:30 is illegal is about fan safety. The configuration of the baseball stadium is such that the overhang protects a large number of fans. They should still sell cheap water. Make your money on other concession items, but don't charge $5 for a bottle of water

Would you be ok with a 9am kickoff?

The overhang at Alex Box doesn't even cover 50% of fans. In Tiger Stadium half of the stadium is shielded from the sun.

We need less Government intrusion not more.

In this situation you're taking your pick between game times being dictated by the government (as chosen by an extension of the people) or dictated by the SEC and ESPN (where we as fans have no say.) You're still being governed and told when you can play. This is the rare situation where the government would be used for its rightful purpose of giving the people a voice.

No one wants government regulation but this is a pretty blanket statement that shows you put no thought into this question. You're being governed either way, the question is by who
