He opted out because he is lazy and did not want to work out. He probably will not get drafted.

Any team that runs a 3-4 defense would have to give him a look

He will never be more than he is projected to be at this moment.

You go.

The common opinion on Shelvin is he's basically a two-down player that takes up space and is no threat to pressuring the QB.

This can turn out to be a great thing. If he and Vincent turn out to be day 3 or not drafted at all. This gives the coaching staff real evidence as to why you should come back and play.

Especially, if Smith goes before chase. Chase was going to be the first we taken and top 5 pick. If he drops out of the top ten, he cost himself millions.

Work ethic is poor (see physical conditioning) and likely the enticement of agents led to his cop-out, not opt out, IMHO.

Hope he succeeds at the next level and gets better advisors for his professional playing time.

He’s about to learn that being lazy & making emotional decisions because you’ve been lazy is not how you become successful. I’m sure he’ll blame the man though and play the victim because he made a bunch of stupid decisions.

An agent who forwarded him some petty cash to lock him into a deal.

Wouldnt be surprised if he was 400 lbs right now without the need to be at practice and work outs.

Yep. Somebody called this already. 400lb NDFA. College isn't for everybody and if not for his athletic ability he wouldn't have been there. The BAD advice and then Covid just gave him an excuse. If he could have stuck it out for one more semester, who knows what might have happened.
My first hope is he has a long career in the NFL. Second would be that he can stick long enough to make enough $ to pay for training at a trade.
Best of luck at all endeavors, TS.

Travonte valentine is a myth. He doesn’t actually exist.

Why in the hell would you put Shelvin in the "bust" category? Starting NT on a 15-0 National Champ team is no way a bust. People on here upset because he declared for the draft... Sounds to me like he was highly valued.
