Pivoting is your main move.

LSU's season was a slow and steady burn. UCLA just instantly went up in flames. Both situations suck, but it all depends if you want to spread out your misery over months, or be riding high and then smash into a brick wall.

So which one????

Now would I rather 13-0 and losing in the title, ala 2011, over 5-7? I don't know.

I just can’t imagine this even being a question. Like it’s shocking to me that some people would rather be bad than extremely good, borderline all time great.

But I also value the regular season and the ups and downs that come with it. I would rather 13 weeks of joy and excitement that ends in disappointment over the shite that we went through last year. But again that’s just me, the guy that is always intentionally misconstruing things…

I think the more popular answer here is obvious

Easy for me to say I still prefer to make it, but this place would be melting down had LSU lost to a 4 seed as a #1 overall.

This. Obviously we all wish LsU had made postseason and had a good year leading up to it, so I’d swap that out w UCLA in a heartbeat.

But losing like UCLA did in regionals was brutal. This place would have gone berserk!!

Definitely our season. I can deal with down seasons, we can win every year but having a team that should win it all haunts you forever (some Les Miles teams come to mind...).

UCLA all the way. Now they probably can't get refund on their hotel reservations in Omaha...

I get it.

However, I think the difference in melt from our fanbase would be greater in the UCLA scenario vs. this LSU team scenario.

In fact, I don't think it would even be close.
