No it is not. No legit QB. Brennan has not shown he can stay healthy and Nuss is too worried about himself. The secondary showed what it is last night and will have to be rebuilt. There is no dominant RB and a mediocre OL at best. Lots of work to do.

I think we’ll be a dark horse title contender by year 2.

We are not the only ones alone in the SEC with a rebuild/down year. Outside of the two best teams in CFB (Bama and Georgia), the rest of the SEC is very beatable, I can easily see an 8-9 win season next fall. Our SEC East foe in Florida has a lot work to do too to restore their prominence.

agreed. With the class coming in there are some immediate starters plus coaching will get worlds better

Years until winning a title:
Saban - 4
Miles - 3
Orangutan - 4

The last coach we poached from Notre Dame - 3

2022 will rely a lot on the transfer portal, 2023 and on will rely heavy on how much money top tier players can get with the NIL by coming to Baton Rouge, sadly this is the state of college football.

i swear some of you have perspective on anything if a kid redshirting is now "only thinking of himself"

you can't draw any conclusions in anything from last night in a meaningless exhibition with a depleted roster and temp coaches

get over this self righteousness about a QB opting for a RS over playing and look at the big picture

2022 is a wash
2023 will be his first crop of freshman in his class
2024 and he should produce and we should contend

If we’re not a top 5/10 program in 2025 then he’s not the answer

In year 1 I don’t expect anything
Year 2 I want a competitive squad
Year 3 I want to be a contender
Year 4 needs to be playoff hunt in November

Quicker than most think. A great o line with a good qb and wr's will take you places. Kelly knows o line and we have the wr's.

Masson Smith will evolve into a superstar next season.

I agree on 2024. Once the majority of the players in the program are recruits brought in by Kelly, we will be relevant.

I think 2022 is going to be rough. Like, potentially losing season rough (but with promising young players sparkling).

Doesn’t mean dick if you have 3 corner backs.

Kelly may know offensive lineman but ours is a huge liability right now. This freshman class in 3 years should be studs though

Our depth is depleted. You have to give him time to build and be patient with the process.

There will be some obvious signs to watch for but to say we almost have the pieces in place now is laughable.

I think we saw this year how a change in scheme/mentality can have instant impact. Prior to bama game, our defense was putrid. A decision was made to be more aggressive and get after the QB, and there was instant success with no change in on the field talent.

I personally don't think it's much of a stretch to see instant impact next season, so long as we fill immediate roster needs with transfer portal and put the right kids in positions to grow and succeed. I don't think we compete for SEC Championship next season, but we start winning the games we should, and compete in those that we're underdogs.

In 23, I think the expectations jump. We should be competing for the west SEC title and beyond.

If Kiffin and Aranda can flip a team around like they did, I expect LSU to be competing for 2nd or 3rd in the West. 2023 hopefully giving Bama a run for it.
Is the cupboard really as bare as some say? Yes we are losing seniors and those entering the draft and a few transfers, but that happens every year. We still recruited decently.

uh, we play Florida State, Southern, New Mexico, and UAB. Should easily win those.

You think we're going 2-6 against the SEC???

I'm going to call it right now....we will finish 11-1 regular season next year and that includes beating Bama. I think BK is the real deal and he outcoaches everyone that we play. Combine that with our talent and we will have a dynasty.
