Always liked the number of 67,500 which the older folks will identify
I think we are looking at 53,000 for the game

Anything less than 70 k will be embarrassing.
The Saints games in Tiger Stadium were fun, even though we sucked arse. Particularly good fun was Saban's Dolphins coming to Tiger Stadium to play the Saints.
40k people for this game would still be a damned good time all things considered.

Well they have not opened the ticket sales to the general public yet. Should be interesting how many get bought this evening and tomorrow.

Looks like maybe maybe 25-30% of season ticket holders have bought.

Why can we not pack this house?! Do that many people travel in and need a year to plan accordingly?

A lot of people travel in, yes. More than most think. Try booking a hotel on a home game weekend.
Reasons I've heard from some regulars not going:
- Already planned to be out of town
- don't want to deal with the cluster f created by the perceived lack of support staff available
- too hot. Already did the Auburn game.
- My regular seats were already taken
- My tailgate isn't going to be there

Not being able to tailgate is a big factor , let's face it , on a normal game day a good percentage of people are there to tailgate , go to the game until halftime and leave ....
I don't like it but that's how it is these days ....

Best guess is in the neighborhood of 50k to 55k. Hope for more though.

sad buy true. I am going to watch the best back in the history of LSU football play. We dont get many home games every year and have already had one taken away this year. Weddings should be the only excuse but they are stupid for trying to schedule a wedding in the fall anyway

Is LSU stopping tailgating for this game? It's at 2:30...not 11:00 a.m. Just start earlier.

Those things were fricking miserable.

They should've been smart and just discounted ticket prices to fill the stadium.
Tickets at 30% off + concessions at normal price still equals a win for revenue and with a full stadium.
