Oklahoma, Texas A/M, Ole Miss
I think they’ve already tipped their hand a little by making Oklahoma our last game. They wil not make Bama play Auburn, Tennessee, and LSU

Bama, Ole Miss, Arkansas
No way they miss out on the revenue that LSU v Bama brings in every year

Think we keep Arkansas cause of the boot.
Hard to imagine the SEC losing the LSU/Alabama game yearly on TV.
Personally I rather keep Florida, the series is so even I’d hate to lose it.
My gut says we get stuck with Ole Miss.

It's other teams that have "traditional" rivalries they want to preserve, and that forces us to all also have these dedicated yearly opponents. I would happily give up playing Ole Miss every year in order to get some more variety in the schedule.
know I am in the minority but I think they should just do a rotating schedule with no annual rivalries.

Ole Miss, Alabama and Florida. since when did A&M become a rival?
Auburn, Ark, Moo State are all better choices than A&M

I just hope this ends the made up rivalry with Texas A&M. Let those SWC teams play every year and put the sec rivalries back in place. LSU’s biggest rivals are ole miss, Florida and Alabama. Period end of story

At least we'll get FU and Auburn every other year with the 9th game.
I'd prefer one of those over Aggy.

Looking like A&M, Ole Miss, and bama.
Wouldn’t mind seeing an OU, Arky, and Ms State pairing.

Huh? LSU played them 16 straight years from 1960 to 1975 when A&M wasn't in the SEC. LSU played them 10 straight years from 1986 to 1995 before A&M was in the SEC. And LSU has played them of course in the same division from 2012 to 2024. Looks like a rivalry to me...at least compared to almost every other team in the SEC.

I tend to think Arkansas as well. They don’t really go with anybody. I don’t think the conference will make Bama play LSU Auburn and Tennessee every year.

I have Alabama with Tennessee, Auburn, and one of the MS schools (Ole Miss or Miss State). If Auburn were to come back, playing Tennessee, LSU, and Auburn would be damn tough on the Gumps.

Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Florida

I've seen this brought up in the past, and I wonder if the SEC will take it into consideration. Where they basically separate the top 8 programs from the bottom 8 programs, the top 8's permanent 3 will consist of 2 from the top group and 1 from the bottom, and flipped for the bottom 8 where they play 2 from the bottom group and 1 from the top
If that is indeed the case, the top 8 are the Big 6 and Texas/OU. Objectively speaking they are the best 8, all of them have won at least 1 natty since the BCS era while there are none in the bottom 8.
So trying to figure out which 2 of the top 8 to distribute amongst the top 8 teams:
Bama - Auburn, Tenn
Auburn - Bama, UGA
UGA - Auburn, Fla
Those are pretty clear cut and locked out in this scenario. Which leaves the last 5 teams
LSU - ?, ?
Fla - UGA, ?
Tenn - Bama, ?
Texas - OU, ?
OU - Texas, ?
I think the big question is whether Florida's final spot goes to Tenn or LSU. I think it would go to LSU since if you give Tenn that spot then that leaves LSU with both OU and Texas and I think they'd rather not saddle a founding member with both newcomers. Kinda sucks because Fla/Tenn used to be one of the biggest games of the year in the conference every year, but LSU/Florida has a lot of history and great matchups themselves so not too hard of a choice to make imo. They've tested the water with LSU/OU these couples of years, possibly hinting that might be one of the perms, while Texas and Tenn get to have a battle of the orange UT teams every year
Bama - Auburn, Tenn
Auburn - Bama, UGA
UGA - Auburn, Fla
LSU - Fla, OU
Fla - UGA, LSU
Tenn - Bama, Texas
Texas - OU, Tenn
OU - Texas, LSU
Then we get to the bottom 8, and Ole Miss will go to us I would assume. Which would leave LSU with a 3 permanent setup with Florida, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss.
The rest of the top 8 to fill, Vandy goes to Tenn, Aggies go to Texas, Mizzou goes to OU, Arkansas to Auburn, Miss St to Bama, SCar to UGA, and Kentucky to Fla
