Just watching LSU's "new" offense is exciting enough... I know the 2 teams LSU beat the last 2 games weren't near SEC caliber but just seeing guys like Guice, Chark and Desean Smith showcase their talent in an offense that now plays to the teams character and not to the head coaches gameplan of 1980's smash mouth football.... to think of all the GREAT talent wasted at LSU the last few years because of a stubborn head coach who refused to change.....it should have happened at the end of last year..... no telling what LSU's record might be right now.... but it is what it is..

feel worse than ever for guys like Trey Quinn who transferred because of our incompetent coaches.

Trey chose to come here then chose to leave. 100% on him.

I remember people would laugh at others and claim they were being paranoid and delusional if they claimed that Les was interfering with the play calling.

I remember the same idiots who are jumping to conclusions now were jumping to conclusions then. Remember, everything you idiots are concluding now is drawn from reading between about three lines that Smith uttered. The fact is you don't know shite now, and you didn't know shite then.

All we can do is look at the overall product and judge it good enough or not good enough. Beyond that we don't know, and shouldn't care, why it's not good enough.

Yeah but you can't blame him. He had know way of knowing there would be change with the receivers getting more opportunities.

"We've always had these plays in our playbook. Just never opened them up. You know we opened them up in practice all the time."
I have heard this from men in the know for a long time. 1/9 was just the ultimate example. They ran the frick out of a bunch of plays (like, way too much scrimmage reps in practice) but then never played any of the plays they worked on.

It's like Elmer was actually trying to make them suck.

Something tells me that as time goes by, I'm gonna hate this guy more and more.

The real stupidity is this also indicates why we constantly had execution issues.

Every minute spent practicing a play you have virtually no intent of ever running is a wasted minute.

I think Cam is a good offensive coordinator.

To be fair, the Ravens had to fire him in order to get to the Super bowl.. and win.

PLEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.......he chose to leave because he recognized the level of dumazzcity of the Miles offense. He had a few bad games, lost his confidence, was not given any positive feedback, and basically told LSU to....fk off.....cant blame him one bit.

Trey was sold a bill of goods, just as we were. It took him a couple of years to figure it out. It look a lot of dilusional fans many more. If was over for Miles by 2008. It just took our sorry leadership 71/4 more years to do something about it.

Wow! Les obviously was a hell of a salesman to get these kids to come here and not utilize them to their full potential. He did some good things here but it was long over due with his firing.

You think other SEC defensive coordinators are having sleepless nights? The giant has awakened. The genie is out of the bottle. Go Tigers.
P.S. Isn't it amazing how the O-line execution improves when the defense doesn't know the play being run?

Wtf are you talking about?

We did know. Turns out that everything people were saying about Les and the offense has been validated by players' comments.

And we shouldn't care why we aren't good? Seriously?

Cam gets a lot of hate but I honestly don't think it was him
apparently it was. you could say that miles was ultimately responsible for letting the situation get bad but, the rumor is that there was tension among the offensive coaches and cam was the reason.

Miles took over the play calling in 2008 as confirmed by former players and he's had a strong hold of the offensive philosophy and calling since that nightmare season
the you know whos will say of course! he's the head coach, don't dare question the man

After 1/9/12, Miles coached scared

Mr. Coach Klein stole his manhood...

Seriously though, Miles is a very good coach that got stuck in his ways for too long. I think it was Bobby Bowden that once said, "The first coach to run the Wishbone wins a national championship. The last coach to do it gets fired."

Miles' offensive scheme no longer worked reliably, especially against the better teams/coaches that saw it regularly.
