Weather forecast for Houston next weekend is perfect. Hardly any chance of rain.

No chance this game is getting played in TX or LA next weekend

Don't be purposely obtuse. The hurricane is projected to touch down in Corpus Christi. Houston is 208 miles from there. Will Houston get some wind and rain, yes. Will there be some refugees there? Yes. Will Houston be in chaos like New Orleans and BR were for Katrina? No, not even close.

As of noon Thursday, Hurricane Harvey was 340 miles southeast of Corpus Christi, moving northwest at 10 mph, with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph.

The sluggish pace of the hurricane could cause it to dump more than a foot of rain across southeast Texas, causing potentially life-threatening flooding in both coastal areas and Harris County.

I know it is the Rantard mentality to "blame Alleva", but he was the one who actually had the plan for the Florida game last year that would have worked had Florida/Sankey not had their heads planted up their asses.

He's also the one who sat on said plan while Foley/Sankey were stalling all week, then didn't open his mouth until the decision was made which made him and LSU look like totally inconsiderate jackasses. Like Hannagriff said, he's wrong even when he's right.

You are being just as obtuse with this post. I hope you are right though and it gets played as scheduled.

Not only that it is expected to take a North East turn and head towards LA and almost stalling near Houston.

I was trying to be as optimistic as possible since this is the only game I would make this year because it is indoors and air conditioned (due to severe burns from and accident I can't be in any heat)

Looks like it's gonna have to move, postpone or cancel after the info I received

No, but it doesn't take that level of chaos to impact a game either. The issue and the potential impact to Houston doesn't have anything to do with where the storm makes landfall.

Looks like the 4pm advisory has shifted the track south a bit. That would be good news for Houston.

Eta: The initial landfall forecast shifted to the south, but the forecast after that shifted to the north and east. The action after landfall has become less clear.

Eta 2: They put the model in motion and still showed Houston getting hit with high wind. That's just one model though.

Baton Rouge on Saturday may be just as bad as Houston on Wednesday.

"Frankie's weather forcast."

Sounds like a lot of strong winds and rain in Houston and the surrounding areas as well?

Game has an excellent chance not being played at the day and time scheduled. Hope for the best but expect it to be moved or cancelled.

i dont think it will be moved but dont discount the impact of this storm

just saw the local forecast and they are very worried that it will stall out and dump 20+ inches on Houston.

Could be a shite show

It's not ideal, but if the game is moved that's the only stadium in the Houston area that could hold all the LSU and BYU fans next Saturday.

Would be really weird... But I wouldn't hate having an extra win at Kyle Field.

Would probably turn into an away game, though. Can't imagine too many TAMU fans would root for us to beat the Mormons.
