But the hypocrisy and the made up narrative will screw us this year.
LSU is clearly a top 6 team based on every metric. Our only losses are at Ole Miss in a crazy environment and in OT on a 2 point conversion in a game we otherwise dominated, outside of that, we have destroyed everyone we have played. Teams that have beat Georgia and others.
But the narrative will kill LSU this year and it’s a joke. Fans will say “just win out!” The fact is, we shouldn’t have to. It’s clear that we are being unfairly ranked. Like it or not; rankings are all that matters and that means that people who hate Lane and LSU will and can screw us

These polls that are out are meaningless outside of forums. Wait til we see where we’re ranked next Tuesday before we melt.
Even if it’s not want we want we have 3 huge ranked matchups due up and #1 remaining SOS so that will boost our ranking up even if we only won 2/3

Out of the teams LSU has beaten so far, none of the are currently ranked in the top 25.

I think we are good enough to beat pretty much anyone, but this is an absurd argument. Losing games has to have consequences at some point. How many losses do you think is acceptable, then? If we finish 8-4 do you think we still should get in because of "metrics"?

I find it hilarious that they absolutely refuse to drop Ole Miss below us despite their losses being significantly worse than ours.
They didn’t give BYU the same consideration with Notre Dame who is now ranked three spots ahead of them despite losing the head to head.
They also have OM 5 spots above Florida and we all know who was the better team that day.

This is the Ole Miss “reparations” season. We just have to suck it up. When Chambliss goes, Ole Miss will disappear off the map. Mark my words.
Kiffin had to make a genuinely tough decision last year in the middle of a run with America’s Underdogs and everyone knows they are done without him. The pity will wear off soon though and they’ll love ole miss less and hate LSU less as time goes on.
For this season we just have to accept that we are destined to be loved a LOT less than Ole Miss and others.

Agreed but some teams play 2 ranked teams (both In the 20s.) all year.. the disparity in schedule strength is really the issue… is it worse to lose two games to top 10 opponents in their stadium in one possession games … Or to lose one game to an unranked opponent at home??
