Poland loves LSU

At least one Pole does. I was watching Slepnac od swiatel (Blinded by the Lights), a Polish series about a suave cocaine dealer on HBO. I was stunned to see a character show up wearing an LSU hat.
I did a double take. I thought I saw wrong. But no, it was definitely an LSU hat with the non-Toonces Tiger logo. It was shot in 2018.
You'll see LSU stuff in the weirdest places.
BTW, the series is well worth watching.

I've been to Poland a couple of times. People are awesome...

People don’t realize that Polish pilots won the Battle of Britain. They had to flee Poland before they got a chance to fight. In England they flew circles around the British pilots. They gave them planes and they made the difference against the Germans. Great people.

The Poles are tough folks. They had to be after decades (maybe centuries) of fighting with the Germans on one side and the USSR/Russia on the other.

I used to work in London (Denmark, Poland, England, and Spain) and there was not a single trip that I did not see an LSU hat or shirt somewhere.

I visited Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, and several smaller towns/cities) 3 years ago and loved it. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Spent time in Warsaw and Krakow. Lovely people and a great place to visit. Their history is pretty wild, and they love Americans because we are one of the few countries that has never fricked them over.
Also, extremely cheap place to visit. When I went, a half litre of Zyweic pilsner was like 2 zloty ($0.66). Food and lodging were cheap too.

They had the mongols back in the day too.

Saw an LSU beanie on a guy at a soccer game in Birmingham, England a few years ago.

It always amazes me where people see LSU gear. While I was in the Marines and traveling by air I would see LSU stuff on people in cities like Chicago, Cincinnati, you name it. It stands out in a crowd haha ??

The poles, Pope John Paul II and Lech Walesa ushered in the fall of the USSR

Poland is awesome. Can't beat a Tyskie and a hot zapiekanka.
Eta: Tyskie, not Pilsner Urquell. Went to Czech the same week.
