Maybe your reply wasn’t directed at me, but I’m a Slaughter fan

I know many will speculate that Moffitt will only remain on this team due to last name, But i think the intangibles alone he provides warrant a roste spot. He’s a hardworking kid, and from everything I’ve seen, is the emotional leader of the team. With so many young kids coming in, I think having him to mentor them would be huge.

Siap, but Hess will remain starter
Completely expected it, especially at the moment.
I would prefer otherwise though. That can change.

PM was on Moscona’s show at 5:00 and said it’s not over for Turang. PM said his asking number was north of 4 million. Slot was just over 3 million and Brewers only have 6 million to offer their entire list of draftees.
Turang at SS and Smith at 3rd would be best left side of infield in country. Not even close.
Keep your fingers crossed.

I'll believe it when I see the line-up card on opening day next year

After talking to the scout with the Cubs named Ray Charles, he had this to say in his scouting report “ I see a future so bright for Jake Slaughter that he is going to have to wear sunglasses all the time like me”

Didn't I just read that the SEC passed a new rule re assistant coaches to allow 4 paid assistants next year? What do you expect will be the result with LSU's coaches?

This was exceptionally stupid.

Who on the roster (position players) at the moment has more all around talent than him? Duplantis is a helluva hitter but he’ll never hit for power. Watson did not improve much from last year. I agree that Slaughter has underperformed but he tremendous upside.
Watson
Cabrera
Duplantis
Josh Smith
are all better baseball players than Jake Slaughter

with the guys we have coming in I really don’t want to see Bryce Jordan in the lineup
Bryce Jordan in 2016 was 1st Team All SEC
These were his numbers in SEC play in relation to our team
.342 BA (2nd) <--- next closest is .322
.532 SLG (2nd) <--- next closest is .466
.490 OBP (1st) <--- next closest is .445
1.022 OPS (1st) <--- next closest is .999

Love the Slaughter hate. Kid got drafted by Theo Epstein not once but TWICE. But rantards think the kid is garbage. What does a person like Epstein know about baseball anyway?

I'm legit bummed that slaughter is leaving. I expected him to turn the corner in a big way next season

Get Bregs to talk to Turang! It worked out great for Bregs coming to LSU...

absolutely could have been an All American if he finally got it clicking. Kid has more talent than anyone on the team

He seems to just not put the bat on the ball consistantly
Maybe needs a professional hitting coach but judging on his play this year LSU can easily replace Slaughter.
From a physical standpoint and looking at the way he swings the bat, I agree Slaughter looks awesome but sometimes you have to look at production

It's not that we can't replace that bums me out. It's that we never saw him reach his full potential in purple and gold and that's a damn shame

His play was average at best but what made it worse is the fact that he’s a major tool! Icing on the cake is his dad is even a bigger one!
Straight from a prominent family in Ruston that knows them!
Posted on 6/7/18 at 7:24 pm to CottonWasKing
I really felt like about the last month of the season that he was about to turn the corner with his hitting. Feels like a fall break out player...it’s too bad he’s leaving.
Posted on 6/7/18 at 7:25 pm to Nissanmaxima
Nobody gives a shite what a “prominent family” in Ruston has to say about an LSU athlete.
