THrough the mid 50s, our helmets were a true gold. I believe Paul Dietzel changed them to the current yellow color.
So yea, I get it, our colors are purple and gold. But you're delusional if you think the actual color today is gold. They're yellow.

I honestly have a hard time choosing between the purple jerseys with whites, or the purple jerseys with gold. They both look good. I guess I'd give the edge to the purple and gold, since its traditional, but damn do those white helmets with purple jerseys look good.
