Please quit starting threads blaming this game on the refs. We lost because of two things.

This game has been called very well overall. This loss comes down to two things. Caitlin Clark just had a historic night shooting the ball couple with Reese (who had been dominating inside) getting hurt.
That’s it. Their superstar went off and ours was hurt.

We lost because Clark went off. And it doesn't matter who defends her when she hits that far out.
Sad thing is I still think Iowa loses, but I hope they win it all.
I still wish LSU had done more underneath the basket on offense. Perhaps Reese not being healthy did matter.

The 15-3 run Iowa had hurt lsu that and down the stretch couldn’t make buckets when going on a little run

Iowa was on fire. We were cold. Reese was hurt and could barely move. Sometimes the shots just don't fall.
We were on fire for the NC last year. It could have easily gone the other way. Today just wasn't our day.

They only beat us by 7 with our best player hurt most of the game and their best player having to tie a NCAA Tournament record for 3’s made.
As good as CC is she isn’t shooting like that in 5 straight games. Just like Reese wouldn’t get hurt in 5 straight games.

Both Morrow and Williams had an off night. They shot some weird looking shots and neither one looked very confident in their play.

We lost simply because this team doesn’t have a competent, legitimate PG. Any championship caliber team will have a legitimate PG leading the way. . If you switched one HVL for Alexis Morris this team beats Iowa.

Just wasn’t meant to be. Clark had an awesome night, Reese was till she hurt her ankle. Hard to beat someone when 1 players scores over 40. Tigers had a great season.
