That is correct there is no way for us to know if he actually committed the crime or not……yet people on here are quick to condemn.
Like I said earlier I’d love to be a fly on the wall when the heathens from this board have to talk to St. Peter at the pearly gates.

If you would read the link that’s been posted several times about this, you would see there’s more to Luke’s brother’s situation than what you said. The Ex-wife called and told him that Luke was molesting the child. At that point, he is now obligated to call law-enforcement and report this. Otherwise, there would be consequences with his custody battle if he didn’t. And possibly legal issues as well. That’s a tricky mess. I can completely understand why they don’t speak to each other after having to call the police on your brother over something as serious as this. Especially since Luke denies it.
As far as hiring Casey, I understand the PR disaster it would cause from the mob. At the same time, in the eyes of the media/public, they would only further convict someone who may be innocent.

BAD OPTICS. At a time when LSU needs to clean up their image. Just considering Casey looks bad. There are too many other great coaches out there to even have Casey's name associated with LSU.

This. As much negative publicity has come out in the last 12 months, taking on the baggage is not worth it.

Again, y'all are trash wanting this anywhere near LSU.

When all of this first came out, I thought it was entirely plausible that Heimlich was totally innocent and got very poor legal advice. I think it is absolutely possible that the girl's mom (Heimlich's brother's ex) fabricated the whole thing because bitches be crazy. And I was downvoted to hell.
I stick by that line of thinking. The sad part is we will never know 100% either way unless the bitch comes clean (yeah right).

Even if coach did nothing wrong, he’s still a washed up 60-something. Why would we want that??
The PR hit in light of rape issues at LSU alone makes it not worth it.
Although if Scotty hired him, y’all gonna have to stop with the Woke Woody crap!!

Based on what? In the last game he managed 3 years ago, he won a national championship.

People act like a guy can't recharge his batteries and come back with renewed enthusiasm a few years later.

Who cares what USA Today and Yahoo write if we’re winning?

It makes me sad that we have some fans that can do mental gymnastics to hire a washed up coach. Those fans belong at pedo state not LSU

Or because he made a bet on his own team.

Yes you can, especially when part of the deal was supposed to be that it would be a sealed record. That’s how plea bargains work.

It’s not bad optics when people are so desperate to take him down they have to look at something a player might have done years before Casey met him that Casey had no way of knowing about it. Unlike some people, there isn’t any scandal attached to Casey’s conduct of his personal life or any apparent NCAA violation, which is hard to believe given the rise of Oregon St.
Skip asked which coach has had a dynasty. Three national titles in 11 years may not be a dynasty, but this is the closest thing to it. I agree he may be past his prime, but to act like this would be a bad reflection on LSU is dumb.

LSU needs to hire an up and coming coach in his 40s who will be here 20 years.

1. It’s very likely LH didn’t do anything and this was a sick custody battle ploy coupled with an overzealous prosecutor and shoddy legal advice
quote:Do you realize how high recidivism rates are with predators?
2. Even if he did, he was also a kid at the time and received two years of intensive treatment with an impartial mental health professional who declared him to be virtually zero risk
quote:No matter. It is good to know facts.
3. Since he was himself a kid, the record of his plea deal was sealed and should never have been made public
quote:More accurately, gave OSU a chance to win a championship. That is all that was considered, don't be naive.
4. Casey and the OSU team were aware of the situation and after considering all available information gave the young man a chance

I can't believe nobody else is remotely freaking out that not only if Casey is hired that Cain would remain on staff and be groomed as the next head coach.
That's infuriating and makes me throw up.
