Also if it comes to a suit, SEC will blame LSU for talking to these kids allegedly in violation of SEC rules
That doesn’t make sense because the timeline doesn’t support it.
When did the SEC make and vote on the rule?

I hope they put that Tennessee bitch on the stand
She’ll probably go berserk afterwards and try to get LSU expelled from the conference again.

Yeah, you can’t make a rule suddenly after the fact and then retroactively apply it.

This isn’t difficult to grasp for anyone that doesn’t just want to argue or be contrarian.
SFP is a lawyer. So am I.
Sometimes our search for the truth seems belligerent or contrarian. We are trained to test and challenge any argument to see if it withstands scrutiny. The best of us revise our views when the counter argument is sound.
Almost every lawyer has a moment of clarity some time after law school in which we realize we don’t have to fight every fight or win every argument. But sometimes — and I speak for myself here — we lose that insight and can’t stop ourselves.
I still do it from time to time.
Let me say here I don’t know the particulars of SFP’s positions or overpersistence on this particular issue.
All I am saying is that argument is the way to truth for the legal mind, and sometimes, even when properly restrained, it can be off putting.
Hope that makes sense.

That sounds miserable.
It can be exhilarating. I’m going to leave the discussion there to avoid derailing the thread.
To try to make it relevant, I checked the clerk of court website, and the image of the motion for contempt still isn’t available.

I don’t believe that for a second.

Thought it had been confirmed. But I really can’t say for sure.
Hopefully the image of the motion will hit the clerk’s website tomorrow so I can read it.

The contempt isn’t the Federal filing, it’s deliberately interfering with LSU’s ability to roster the players as ordered by the court.
i haven’t read the entire thread yet, so apologies if already answered.
but from a legal standpoint, can LSU just say something along the lines of “we decided to roster these other two people that have been with the team longer rather than two newcomers”. and be cleared of this shite?
i mean just because LSU was “cleared” to roster them with the court order, doesn’t necessarily mean they “have to” roster them. right?

LSU is not leaving the SEC. It’s a founding member And even though football is King . That is not the only sport. You simply don’t know what you’re talking about.

I stopped reading his posts or replies to him, and got through an 11-page thread in about 5 minutes.

Good for them, really bad for the SEC. Adding LSU to the case is really going to expose the strong arm tactics and that LSU followed their guidance.

Tennessee should have been concerned about the two drugs that were not on the lethal injection roster. When Tennessee enacted lethal injection it was a three drug cocktail, but only one was used recently. The other two drugs must have went professional so couldn’t be used.
