I wouldnt have a problem if gameday went to Minn. They may never get their chance again being 8-0 with that cream puff schedule they have played.

Yeah, I'm not buying that either!

Well, considering he had to confirm that Penn State was also undefeated with the media or one of his staffers during the same pitch, I'm willing to buy that he doesn't really know the details of what is going on with LSU and Bama this year.

I love that they are going to Memphis. I wish they would go to more G-5 games. I am all for celebrating the different corners of the sport

Could care less. I don't watch anything on ESPN unless its an LSU game.

Yep, and ESPN are after ratings which they rightfully should

I don't buy for a second that coaches don't know what is going on with other teams in their conference especially teams on their schedule. There is no way that Fleck isn't on social media etc to truly have no idea what LSU and Bama are doing. It always seems fake when coaches do this nowadays.

PJ Fleck and Minnesota's great resume.

Thu, Aug 29 vs South Dakota State W28-21

Sat, Sep 7 @ Fresno State W38-35 2OT

Sat, Sep 14 vs Georgia Southern W35-32

They scored a TD with 13 seconds left to beat Georgia Southern at home. The same team LSU beat 55-3.

I don't watch or care where Gameday goes but this dude needs to keep his mouth shut about "deserves".

If #1 v. #2 happens in the regular season, in November, every media outlet, Gameday special, etc will be on the campus, every time.

And they should be.

Give it to them. They do deserve jt. It’s always In Tuscaloosa every year. I wanna see how they represent. Being their first time I expect it to be rowdy. They’ve earned it. I hope it dumps snow too.

Look, I like PJ Fleck and glad they're winning games. It's a good story.

But Minnesota hasn't beaten anyone, and I suspect they're a fraud. 3 of their last 4 games are against Penn State, Iowa, and Wisconsin. If they get through that, I'll give them all the praise in the world.

But I suspect they'll get exposed.

Downvote because he doesn’t know what’s going on between the 2 schools?! Has he lived under a rock?

Same could be said for Alabama at this point of THIS season.

In fact, it's tired and irritating.

“...1 v 2 is essentially a playoff game.”

Is it?

apples and oranges.

Bama has won many SEC and national championships and has elite recruiting every year. They've proven it over the past decade.

So I think it's fair for everyone to assume that Bama is an elite team this year too, regardless of who they've beaten. And, by the way, it's just a function of their schedule, since they play LSU and Auburn in November.

Same goes for Clemson.

People are going to tune in no matter what. You wake up Saturday and watch game. Doesn’t matter where it is on a particular weekend. I don’t think anyone would be upset if it wasn’t in Tuscaloosa.

I’d normally agree with him, but it just so happens that this year LSU and Bama are going to be 1 and 2 when they play. That and the other storylines are maybe a bit more compelling in this years matchup than that with the Gophers and Penn State.
