Relative to MANY prior LSU home games, particularly against Florida, it wasn't that wild.
As to the game other night, my guess as to why the student's left early is multifaceted:
1. It was homecoming. I suspect many may have had family in for the weekend and/or some kind of special party (particularly those in the Greek system) that night.
2. South Carolina as an opponent isn't going to move the needle like Florida...even if SC is the better team. LSU has a long history with Florida. Not so much with SC.
3. Honestly, it was kind of a boring game. Taking into account Nos. 1 and 2, that may have contributed to students leaving.
As someone who attends the game to watch the game and doesn't really care much about partying before or after, I don't understand dealing with the hassle and expense to get out there...only to leave early. But I know for others the "party" is why they showed up, not the game.
LSU's next opponent is A&M...who LSU has a long history against. If both teams win this week it will be a top 10 matchup and likely the game of the day. If, in that game, we see the crowd empty out at HT in a close game, that will be a BIG problem.

Don't know if this matters, but I had several friends at the game and they all left once they found out about the shootings outside the stadium.

If LSU is this spoiled because of a 2019 season, imagine what these pussies would do if it had the success of Bama? What a fricking pussy fanbase LSU has now. The fricking excuses of leaving early just wreak of weakness. Never could have imagined Tiger stadium being full of weak fans that would destroy the image of that stadium. Leave at the half? GFYM

If we take out Vandy and aTm holds serve, it will potentially be the gameday destination.
Campus and the stadium will be fricking packed.

I have had season tickets since 2000, all living in Dallas. I make about 4/5 home’s games, 1/2 away games and always SEC champ or bowl game. Fully invested into a maxed out So. La. experience, in what “sucked” me in 26 years ago. Southern La and Death Valley can be an unbeatable when college football is part of it. But, it been years since the consistency of what I fell in love with. I’m a Tiger for life and will still show, but we can be better.

Sat in section 619 until Nuss took a knee.. student section held up pretty okay til the 4th. East side had way too many empty seats, and if I’m being honest we should have never expanded the stadium.
Also is it bad etiquette for getting pissed off when people in the upper decks ask you to sit down, especially when it’s third down? I about lost my shite when it’s a third down and two people are yelling at me because they can’t see. Lazy fricking bums. And to top it off, they were gone by the time I looked back mid third quarter.

Lower bowl seats that go empty game after game should be reclaimed by LSU. Not hard to figure out which seats. Give others the chance to buy good seats.

Its the frats and sororities. Actives should step up and make sure all members stay till game is decided. The independents stay, frat pussies and sorority skanks leave early.

It was a FOUR hour boring game. The band does not even play anymore. Students and 99% of the other fans in the stadium don’t give two shits about the bad rap music being blasted through the speakers. LSU football games are a few plays then a commercial break with garbage rap music blasting and ads flashing constantly on the ribbon boards. LSU can’t even get it dark enough for a light show because they refuse to atop having ads flash on the screen. The entire gameday experience is terrible now.

32-36 free season tickets (4 X 7 games) next year is peanuts for LSU for that incentive to keep people.
