Consider switching to Kinesiology major instead of Biology. Biology major is almost completely useless if he doesn’t get into MD or PA schools. Kinesiology is more useful without a post grad degree, the classes are easier and more interesting, and there’s more opportunities for patient contact by working at PT practices in addition to medical

What is kinesiology used for other than going to PT school?

A lot of sports coaches get it. Strength and conditioning coach. Personal trainer, fitness instructors. PE coach

Not saying these are great jobs but there are almost no options for biology majors outside of post grad so this gives you a few options

Is your son in med school or PA school. Not the same. And a PA is much less trained than an MD

My youngest is a PA, went to LSU honors College, Biological Science, Pre Med. After LSU, applied at OLOL school of medicine. They were the first class of PA’s. Got out in 28 months. Received a Masters Of Medical Science.

Now works from home, doing nothing but virtual appointments, making way more than the salaries posted. Virtual is way too easy a job.

It's really not far off though. Most I see are within 15-20k of 150k, which is what we model as the median in valuation models.

ETA:

I do know a PA that is also the clinic operations manager for a very successful plastic surgery center and he makes probably 250k, maybe slightly more.

But that's unusual.

What’s the Cody of PA school? $135k (135k$, IYKYK) is a good salary, but if it costs an extra $109k in schooling the ROI kind of sucks. Those are the people that make money and are still poor because they have a$2k student loan payment
