Crying for some guy who owns a fricking shack on Perkins next to businesses that should be widened anyway and he would lose 1/2 his yard

This doesn’t feel real it’s so stupid, I’d whoop that utility man’s arse if this happened to me.

Is the pole within the easement along the road or in his actual yard?

If it’s on his property I’d think he has standing to sue for damages and diminished property value

Utility companies are second only to the government in the zero fricks given contest.

He should sue. Zillow estimates his house today at $286k. Put me on the jury and I'd gladly award him double perhaps 2.5x. I don't know the law, but if it punitive damages can be awarded, then make Entergy pay $1m. That was a frick you move on their part.

I served on a jury where entergy was a defendant. They had admitted responsibility so the jury’s job was to determine damages and apportion responsibility between all the involved parties. I will tell you that what o experienced was a room full f people who had the same mindset as you. It was a large award with most of the blame assigned to entergy. I actually thought we went too far, but supermajority rule in civil trials. I wasn’t upset with the decision but it was more punitive than I would have decided on my own.
