Both of them. West has been out injured. And we will probably need one or two of the freshmen LBs to step into some spot rotation minutes.

This is why starting well and dominating inferior opponents is so important. Shouldn’t have even had pads that late in the game.

Might be the strangest ACL injury I’ve seen. Hopeful for a speedy recovery.

LSU has lost their best RB, DL, and LB

Emery looked really good in the opener, but Durham is better and just as good of a fit.

Guillory was our top DT, but Swinson is the best DL by a mile.

Weeks has been our best performing LB. He makes plenty of mistakes, but it’s still true.

But Perkins still probably has more raw athletic talent than any of them.

This. Though we didn’t see production levels we wanted, there’s NO WAY offensive coordinators didn’t take him into consideration each week.

With him out, is there really anyone on defense they’re scheming around?

Maybe this wakes the rest of the defense up, hopefully a leader emerges.

Question for Perkins will be how well and quickly he recovers for combine. If he recovers enough and teams can get a read on his timeline, he still may go late first round.

If not, he likely drops out of the first with the unknown of how he recovers. He’s a talented player but his biggest asset was his speed and athleticism. That is something that he may not fully get back, thus a risk to draft him.

With the drop in money from early first to mid 2nd round pick and as others mentioned with NIL now, coming back may be a smart financial move.

When watching the tape it looked like he “lost his legs” ended up in a squat at contact, didn’t have any drive. That position leaves the knees vulnerable to injury.

I wish Perk would have just gone for the standard wrap-up tackle on that play versus trying to lay the hard hit stick on him. Put his shoulder in jeopardy too. I know it was a freak accident still, but it could have put less pressure on his body there.

I hate it for him. It seems that his LSU career is going to follow our other 5* hope, Mason Smith. Neither did as much as hoped at LSU, but I hope he recovers enough to have an NFL career like Smith .
