I think you only have to put them in the injury report if they aren’t going to play.

If that were the case there wouldn't be multiple designations: “available,” “probable,” “questionable,” “doubtful,” or “out”. There would just be "available" or "out".

That actually makes a lot of sense. I did not see him throw a ball at practice on 8/23

A bye week is no different than sitting a weekend like this week. Then he'll have 2 resting opportunities. With a game (Ole Miss) sandwiched in between.

Oblique issues can linger for a while if that is what it is. MLB pitchers with these are sometimes out a month or more.
Do they continue to play while waiting for it to heal?

No, you can miss a practice and still be questionable or probable to play when the report is due.

Some thought he was sick vs La Tech. And got obliterated in the comments.

Genuine question, what’s the argument for him playing this week?

Yeah I don't understand why we brought MVB here if he doesn't start this week. I understand not throwing him into the fire vs Clemson or Florida

Sit him this weekend?

Nuss probably wants reps and a few stats to stay in Heisman discussion.

Well, MLB is a little different than football in that you can't really limit or change how you are doing things like you can in football (run the ball more, shorter passes, eliminating throws across the body etc.) I mean, you limit your pitching repertoire or delivery and you're gonna get lit up.

I was just making a point that if it is an oblique injury, he may be limited for awhile.

According to any of the guys for Louisianasports.net that went camp practices, he and Hurley really struggled with accuracy. Like overthrew people without anyone covering.

Rest him all week and the weekend to get ready for Ole Miss.

What is the point of waiting until the bye week?

If the backup QB plays this week then we believe it. There is no reason for him to play this week.

I don’t know what twat rocket is downvoting this post but this is the answer. Even if you don’t think so are such a Nancy you’re worrried about SE it’s still a very logical idea. Let him start, he’s earned it, hand off a few times and then put in VB

So you have no faith that Michael Van Buren who had 8 starts at MSU and passed for 2k yards can handle SELA this week to give Nuss a break?

Stevie Wonder could see that Nuss has not been right all season.
