I hate it … but I agree with you, though. Tbe buyout on his contract is so high, there’s no one out there who is $50 Million better than CBK.
Shorter contract woulda been nice. More incentives for performance would have been nice.

We need good offensive coaches, oc and ol. Let Kelly recruit, motivate and manage the organization. That's all this team is missing. Oh, perhaps a healthy QB with a fiery personality on the field. A fighter, gritty and tough. Defensive staff is excellent.

Gruden has never coached in College at a high level. High risk, high reward, and I’m not willing to risk it. If that hire went south, LSU could go into the gutter for a long period. Yeah, Gruden would have good sound bites, but can he recruit, and navigate the portal and NIL era at an elite level? I seriously doubt it.
He knows football.
Gruden and his Offensive Staff Selections, combined with the current LSU Defensive Staff would be killer IMO.

There are 3 or 4 coaches in cfb with a better resume than Kelly. He may not win a title here but this notion that he is a shitty coach is fricking stupid and shows the ignorance of this board. He took over a shite Cincinnati and within 3 years had them good. He took over a shite ND and within 3 or 4 years had them losing 1 game. He took over the worst lsu roster in decades and with in 3 years has us back to being a good team.
I'm sorry if those FACTS shite on your opinion of Kelly. Deal with it.
