Coach O was the DC at USC before he got the Ole Miss job. WTF are you talking about?

0 CBS on the team from the 2017 2018 class. That’s an issue.

And you have to admit, in an ideal situation Flott and Ward wouldn’t be playing as much as they are now.

They’re getting better but they were guys who needed a little time to develop.

Monte Kiffin ran that defense from 2010 to 2012. Clancy Pendergast ran it in 2013.

His first stint with USC was just Recruiting Coordinator, DL and Associate HC.

I would love to be a fly on the wall when they sit down to discuss this matter. If only the walls could talk!

You know honestly... Bo is right. And as far as well why not run the 3-4 until we figure it out. Coach O has said repeatedly that we will run and are going to run the 4-3. I think that is his decision. Coach O needs to humble himself some and let the assistant coaches that actually know the X's and O's to run there stuff. I like Coach but I think he needs to take a back seat on this one.

Well, the O reply does not set well for Pelini’s future, but I lean to to Bo on this one. Coverages are dependent upon the line & LB calls. Without the right personnel to get the needed pressure, the D backfield will give up more big plays.

The change from 3 to 4 is really tough to pull off in one year for any team regardless of the talent. We recruited for the the 3-4 for three years with Aranda. It takes depth to win the big ones. Depth for your type of D that we currently do not have.

Really surprised O would publicly took issue with Bo unless he has already made a decision. Think he really needs to be careful. If he gets the reputation of a HC that will not give his coordinators time to develop their teams, he will have trouble attracting the top coaching talent.

“We have guys that were recruited to play in a 3-4. It’s not exactly the type of personnel you would recruit to play in a 4-3. It’s really foreign to those guys as far as the understanding of linebackers playing off the football. Then your down guys are playing different techniques and gaps, and it takes some time. And it takes some time for us as coaches to learn what your guys can do and what they can’t do.”

I believe this because we said the same thing when Aranda got here and we did not have the personnel to play a 3-4. Everyone said it will take a cycle or two to get the right people in here.

1 CB in 2017 and he’s more of a Safety and 1 CB in. 2018 and he left the team. Whether they’re good or not that’s not enough.

Safety is the bigger issue in my opinion, but you yourself have admitted that guys like Flott and Ward are playing their roles a year ahead of schedule. That’s because of an empty class, a transfer, and an opt out. The top end quality is there in Stingley and Ricks, but the depth behind them is just starting to come around. That’s a recruiting balance problem.

One heartbeat ? The right side of the brain isn't talking to the left side. The HC, with zero Coordinator's experience, telling the Coordinator he doesn't know what he's talking about.

One heartbeat isn't tossing everyone under the bus. O picked the OC and DC. Then when it doesn't work out he blames everyone else.
