I’ve moved to a new place in the South where we will grow together. And we are in football country now. I can go to so many games in the SEC. I want to go to an LSU night game. That would be dope. I’m always thinking about the community and ways to give back to the city. I know what Drew Brees was able to accomplish with the Saints in the community. It’s going to be nice to be able to win here. But I’m more worried about the legacy that I am going to leave behind.

From an excellent interview with Marc Spears about how he wants to spend the rest of his career in Louisiana and engage the culture and community. Not the typical article this board would be interested in but I thought this part was cool.

Hit him up on Twitter and invite him to your tailgate

What a great get by the Pelicans. Not only for his play on the court and the leadership to the young team, but for the genuine person that he is to represent the state of LA.

Alvarado,
Why don’t you come to my tailgate.
And let somebody feed you.
You better let somebody hug you.
Before it’s pregame

That is how you endear yourself to the fans down here. If he's sincere, and I have no reason to doubt he is, he can become as big as Brees, Deuce, and the many other people that have become truly loved down here.

Just don't put Jacob Blake's name on your helmet and you'll be okay, CJ.

So he’s the anti-Chris Paul and anti-Anthony Davis. I applaud him.

I watched him play for years in Portland. He was always a standup guy. I always worried about injuries taking there toll on him. He is nothing short of genius in getting open with his handles, shimmies, and head fakes, but he has to work extremely hard for his points.

Should be a pretty big night game coming up this November. CJ should probably choose that one.

was just about to post that, we need to tweet it to LSU

also from the article

“I’m not going nowhere. I’m here,” McCollum recently told Andscape. “Where am I going to go? Leave for what? I want to retire here. I’m 30 years old and I have a son who is 13 weeks old. I’m married. When you have something good, you hold on to it. This is something fun for both sides. We’re going to grow. I’m still learning the city. I’m going to find a house.”

C J needs to get out on the field level and hang with Shaq. Perhaps he might even get a Tiger Stadium salute

What kind of experience is he looking for?

Suites?
End zone?
50 yard line?
Student section?

Maybe my company can hook him up.

CBK and the staff need to get him on the sidelines for a game when hosting recruits.

Season will have started by then, so kinda unlikely unless they have a few days off.

Most likely would need to get to a September or October game

Chris Paul did nothing wrong. He played his arse off for 6 years and asked for his trade respectfully when the NOLA NBA Organization was an absolute shite show.

I am not even big CP fan, but he ain't near the level of Street clothes that's all folk Lebum scissor buddy that A D is.

What if I told you there was a place in this world in which you could acknowledge and hate the crimes of the police state and not support the crimes of criminals.

If I'm in the LSU AD, I'm sending CJ season tickets for every sport.

Just to be fair, its pretty much proven at this time that the police did nothing wrong in the Blake case and almost everything said about it initially was a total and complete lie.
