If you really expect a sports commentator to never be wrong then you’ll be disappointed in all of them.
You have to apply the 80-20 rule to them. If you’re right 80% of the time and bomb the other 20% you’re doing a good job. The “he said this once and was wrong so he’s terrible” mentality is stupid, but that’s just how it goes on the rant.

pretty petty thing to chastise. he’s a busy dude, father, and husband. Thumbnails in less than a minute seems like a good use of AI to get time back for other things.

I’m not sure he has really good sources inside the program—I think he gets most of that stuff from Gordy—but he’s definitely gotten pretty close to Governor Landry. Not saying he’s sipping bourbon with him at the Governor’s Mansion once a week, but they definitely talk/text on a regular basis. Landry, like any good politician, uses Scone to put information out that he wants out.
He’s on the radio 15 hours a week, has a morning podcast and does “Locked On.” He has by far the most reach of any media member in Baton Rouge as far as LSU sports go. So of course he’s going to be used by a bunch of different parties to get their message out there to the masses.

No one is saying Moscona can never BE wrong. The issue people have is that Moscona thinks he never IS wrong.

I mean, there is no doubt Moscona was a huge Brian Kelly and Scott Woodward homer. He blamed all of last year's failures on the offensive line as opposed to a lazy coach not doing his job. Once LSU got whipped by A&M and it was clear the governor was getting involved to get a new HC and AD, Moscona was clearly bummed.
Moscona was also one of the loudest voices calling for the firing of Orgeron in 2021. Which was fine, but you can't call out Orgeron's failures but then act like Kelly was doing fine.
