Just to recap the Skenes/Hunt interview:

Skenes is coming to pitch and hit. He could play first or even OF but catching is too tough on his body. So DH will be his main position when he’s not pitching which will be as a starter.

He had way too many Ks this summer. But with crews and Dugas gone next year, he Pearson and Kling could be your guys in 2023.

What works in Stevensons favor is he bats LH. The only other LH bats that could be in the lineup are Pearson and Morgan. Guidry, Skenes, White, Kling, Young… all RH hitters.

He won't be in the OF. DH is probably where he will be competing

Didn’t realize young was SH. Good.

So, Tanks will have to play some 1B & 3B. He won't be able to just sit at DH. Also means Morgan will probably play some OF in certain scenarios.

It's all coming together.

C - Milazzo, Neal (L), etc
1B - Morgan (L), Tanks, Skenes
2B - Dugas, Guidry, Thompson
SS - Young, Guidry, Thompson
3B - Tanks, Thompson, Guidry, Dugas
OF - Pearson (L), Crews, Kling, Dugas, Morgan (L), Skenes, etc
DH - Tanks, Skenes, Jobert (L), Beloso (L), etc

Alot of options and depth. R/L combinations all over the place.

That's not even considering Jones and Frey. We loaded

A lot will be made of how this fall goes. Will have plenty impact on how Jay sees this team shape up come spring. Will be really competitive. Great way to get the best out of each player to create a championship team and program year after year.
