I'm just not impressed with Stevenson

il porte le maillot d'or!

Pearson is more of a sure thing than Dugas or Thompson to me.

Kling was the 19th best HS senior in the country. I think he beats out Pearson
Did you watch any LSU games last season? Crews and Morgan are 100% starting. Pearson and Tank are probably the next sure things to start that this team has.
If this team is so good that Pearson struggles to stay in the lineup, then this may ultimately end up being one of the best LSU lineups ever.

Not every freshman is going to hit 0.300. Stevenson was better than his brother coming out of high school. Like his brother he’s got a K problem right now. I think he figures it out.

By the end of the season, Pearson was one of the top three or four bats in the lineup. He's going to be starting in right field.

One thing I noticed about Skenes was he ran 7.5-7.6 60yd. I know he wants to be a two-way player but I think he is limited to 1B and DH. We will see how the competition plays out, but we are not sure of options at DH and 1B. He might bat his way in, but he might be served better focusing in on pitching.

...because he's a catcher.

Wait, wut?

In addition to Skenes, the Tigers have landed seven players out of the transfer portal this summer. Dylan Tebrake, one of those pickups, signed with the Mets after getting drafted, while the Tigers are still waiting on decisions from middle infielders Carter Young and Jack Pineda. Pineda deciding to head to Baton Rouge this fall would be considered a slight surprise

I'm doubting that.
Doubting that he's a catcher?
Weird thing to doubt, considering that is what he is.

6'6" and slow. Part time catcher at Air Force. He won't beat out Milazzo, Neal or Travinski.

At DH you have White, Jones, Frey, Jobert, Beloso perhaps Pearson and Dugas.
Pitching should be his main focus.

He’s probably a better hitter than all of those except white and maybe Dugas.

Thanks Kendall.
Quick question. Why did you insinuate LSU was tampering with the usm pitcher then delete your tweet? That was incredibly unprofessional and obviously inaccurate since he was known to be headed to Florida since early June according to many of their fans.
Also, how does the atm class compare to LSU’s class? Asking bc you felt the need to imply they were both “loaded”.
I’m not familiar with the Aggie class so genuinely curious how many top 100 players they have coming in this fall.
TIA

That wouldn't surprise me. Like I said, he might bat his way in. Jay loves offense, if he can hit, he will play. I just don't think it will be at catcher.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen an SEC weekend starter hop behind the plate when not pitching.
DH’ing certainly. Or a possible late inning pinch hitter/catcher on rare occasion.
