I think he was granted a name change to GoneFishing21.

It changes pitch by pitch... sun, changes, wind changes, tall grass, short grass... that's before you get to how players are performing in the moment, the situation, etc...
It's a game where you decide situation A is 50.7% success and situation B is 49.3% and you go with A - and then B happens alot.
So analytics... something that wasn't even part of the game 15 years ago, and rarely is part of the game outside of MLB?
Come on. The vast majority of college programs aren't much into sabermetrics.

At some point threads like this just become the same thing that’s been said already. We know what we have in this team. An awful bullpen and very inconsistent hitting. It’s been widely speculated and seems like Paul is going to retire after this year, so freaking out about him is kind of pointless. At this point I’m just rooting for us to win as many games as possible and go as far as we can. Once the season is over and Paul announces his retirement then there will be new stuff to actually talk about.

frick off.
You aren't keeping up.
I wasn't saying you don't understand the game.
I'm saying someone who is biased or trolling (you've admitted to both) is the equivalent of someone who doesn't understand the game.
The opinions of the idiot and the troll/jilted lover are indistinguishable.
I was trying to acknowledge that you are doing it on purpose (trolling) to be very clear that I wasn't calling you a dumbass. FFS, you admitted to trolling.
The net affect is the same though. If a large percentage of you opinions aren't rational for whatever reason (even intentional), it really is unreasonable to expect people to consider your opinions when you "set your biases aside".

“You could tell our guys were not focused."
Baws, this is a fine example of us getting "Pawled".
quote:
Paul Mainieri, continued: "It's my job to get the team ready. It's nobody’s fault but my own... We got beat by a team that was more focused and ready to play than we were."
And there you have it. Mainieri in his own words said it. We got PAWLED.
.
ETA: And another thing...
WHY is is this lame arse still doing fricking Zoom calls??
Is that how he "coaches" this team...via ZOOM????
Is that why we are not doing around the horn??
Come on man. Nut up! WTF is wrong with guy?

Point being, you don't have the playbook complexities and weekly game planning that you do in football or even basketball.
While you're correct that there isn't a "playbook". They do study film and analytics. They look at pitcher tendencies on specific pitch counts. They look at which part of the zone each batter is strongest/weakest at hitting. They look at coaching tendencies in certain situations. So there is some level of game planning involved.

One thing Crews doesn’t have to leave for is money. That isn’t a factor

So you have fielded and lead such a strong team that a few days of rain is enough to mentally take them out the game and get steamrolled by NSU? Noted.

Translation: Paul is lame and needs to retire.
