Baseball managers at every level make decisions during games that can easily be second guessed. It is the nature of the game.

College baseball, particularly SEC baseball, is much more competitive. You don't see teams go to the CWS year after year after year.

I expect LSU to be in a position to get to the CWS next year.

It is frustrating that LSU did not get the the CWS. But, it is clearly not the time to throw CPM under the bus. He'll be here for the foreseeable future.

Well, and I mean this as politely as I possibly can, you are a fricking idiot if you think this. This team loses waaaaaaaaaaaay too much.

he's reaping what he sowed. Time for him to take some responsibility for the mistakes

He does, and he did make mistakes. Every manager who loses a game (or, for that matter, wins a game) makes mistakes. It is the overall result that counts.

Super Regional is an acceptable end result, considering the injuries that the team had.

Paul Mainieri is Smoke Laval with a game 3 win vs Texas. Time to call a spade a spade, folks.

they will be better next season, that's a given.... anyone with a brain knew, we weren't gonna be Omaha very long, had we gotten there, and tbh, we are lucky to gotten as far as we did this season... we just weren't our usual standard... sorry, we just weren't...

You have the worst takes, between defending Nikki Fargas and Johnny Jones, I don't even know where to start. Yet you want WW gone.

I agree. I was a little surprised that LSU got to the Super Regional. I will say that the team had fight and would not give up.

We were missing one player this weekend that played opening weekend. Injuries cannot be an excuse for how we played this weekend. If anything, injuries only served to get more guys opportunities throughout the year to have them ready for this weekend.

I agree with the over achieving this year but I don’t see the team next year being better.

Football and Basketball are both at least as competitive, if not moreso. Do you see Alabama and Kentucky taking this attitude?

Irrelevant and incorrect - I have made it clear that it would be bad for LSU if Wade left.

I don't like him, but I don't want him gone.

But it’s some excuse every single year..

Too much youth
Not enough pitching
Too little talent
Too many bad breaks
Too many injuries

At some point, every team deals with adversity. I can handle 1-2 years of excuses, but it doesn’t cut it when it’s 9/10 years of the same old excuses. We have had several cycles of players come through.

This year was supposed to be THE year when we had the talent, depth, and experience to win it all, and we didn’t even make it to Omaha, and got 2 and Q’ed in our own joint

This is high level college baseball. You don't need a coach to tell you not to overrun 2nd base, not to get too large a lead of 3rd.

79-53 (0.598 )record past two seasons is not LSU baseball. Something needs to change. I defer to Scott Woodward and Paul Mainieri to figure this out and make corrections.
