There is no guarantee that Casey will produce here like he did at OSU and at the same level that Saban has for Bama just like there is no guarantee that hiring a Godwin or Vitello means we got the next "Saban".
A lot of us would rather hire a younger guy that hasn't already retired due to health concerns and burn out.

Biggest issue is the fact that he admitted he was burnt out. If LSU were plucking him still coaching at OSU it would arguably be the best hire possible.
The guy won 3 titles with zero history, a small fanbase, and no recruiting base. The idea that he wouldn’t have success at LSU is ludicrous. That’s if he’s all in.

No way Scott Woodward goes from a home run Kim Mulkey hire, to a complete dud like a Pat Casey. He is a good coach but that's not what LSU needs

rice pays more for a HC than LSU would assistant. Ngl Goat would be a very sneaky good HC hire tho.
