Just read this Kendall Rogers post.

The rumor that LSU totally hit the eject button on O’Sullivan is absolutely false.

What additional violations are you talking about? And be very specific please.

I mentioned him when all this started as well as Sullivan. If he wins a title or a couple, will people really bitch about his age? They won't give two shits that he is older than Mainieri if he brings LSU back to the top of the SEC. Fringe that will still bitch but you have those in Bama with the football fans.

I like it. Yes I am aware of Heimlich and the heat on LSU right now. I don't think he was aware of that when he recruited him so I don't fault Casey for that. shite happens.

I don’t know if he’ll be the hire, but it’s silly IMO if people’s reason against Casey are the circumstances of that player’s situation.

I don't think "silly" is the right word here.

I believe Casey absolutely would win a championship in the next two years with this talent. But I also think a few others, including PM could. Hes definitely a top tier coach though, but you would be hiring again in a few years

I just think that situation is irrelevant to a rational analysis of Pat Casey as a potential baseball coach at LSU.

What you need is a reality check. He won 3 championships at one of the worst P5 schools in the country in a state that has absolutely 0 history in baseball.

My biggest issue with him isnt that case, its his age and lack of coaching in the south. Everything else is great about him

Just admit you aren’t being consistent.

You would take a Coach for 5 years if you really felt they would win a National Championship.

Who has won 3 that is under 62 years old?

It has a lot more relevance considering what we're going through with Title IX and the overall public perception that LSU's athletic department covers up rape allegations for athletes.

If we have learned anything in the last few years, it's the when it comes to media and pressure from the outside, the truth doesn't fricking matter.

And we don't know if he raped her or not, but we do know he is/was a registered sex offender when he signed with OSU.

I’d be worried about recruiting but the rest he would be an upgrade.

Valid concerns without a doubt. I'd love to see him bring in a top notch young hitting coach from the SEC or with SEC ties....assuming he would be the hire.

Have you asked Casey? If not then no one really knows. My question would be why did he retire and how long does he plan on coaching. If I like those answers I hire him.

This is like saying oh we don't want Saban back cause he is old. LSU fans would take Saban back in a heartbeat. Its all about winning. Who cares about how long he will be here?

I don't want Casey at all due to the age and having zero recruiting ties to the area, but the player you're referencing didn't rape anyone. When he was 15, he inappropriately touched his 6 year old niece/cousin. Pled guilty and went through the 2 year court ordered program.

We also know that OSU did not know this.
