And unless you can prove he lied to you when you hired him he's gonna sue you like Heimlich would've if OSU kicked him off the team.

What could he possibly have sued for? There is no requirement to let him keep playing.

I would hope so. You keep acting like we’re talking about an adult doing this to a 4-6 year old. Kid was 13-15. When discovered by Pat Casey, he would have been around 20 years old by then.

Emotional distress, damages for hurting his future earning potential, etc.

Yea it’s hard for me to say with even 60% confidence that he is guilty.

Yeah, I would imagine most people don’t know it went that deep. Fact is, this crap happens all around the country, every day. It’s really scary when you think about it. Again, I can’t say that the kid was innocent with 100% certainty, but I think he got railroaded, at least in part, without doubt.

God bless that entire situation. All we can say for certain is that family will suffer for ages either way. Sad sad story.

Casey is such a strange hire, that it makes me feel as if it’s a smoke screen for someone else.

Casey being hired to groom Cain is like the worst scenario ever that would set LSU baseball back for a decade.

Casey wouldn’t be hired to groom Cain. He’d be hired to win now. Cain has been groomed by Paul already for several years.

You’re absolutely right about that. I feel for the entire family and what they’ve all had to go through.

I’d like to do scrape the program clean of all paul nepotism hires…Cain is a very replaceable cog when staffing is limited as it is

Where is this coming from?

The new head coach will have an entirely new coaching staff.

You think the family brought up that situation during recruiting?

I think with a talent like that the Oregon State coaching staff would’ve known all about any legal problems while the kid was 15. Baseball is a small world and a talent that good with problems that bad would’ve been common knowledge amongst his youth teams and leagues. I think it’s very naive to think Casey didn’t know of it and as a matter of fact even Heimlich believed that Casey knew of it.
