Sumlin gets another HC position after doing nothing at A&M. Nothing. And with insane talent. Muschamp is another example. How does this happen time and time again?

I think most programs would rather take a chance on a proven mediocre coach than take a chance on someone fresh. Call it nepotism or laziness or whatever but it has been going on for as long as i remember.

Sumlin is a good coach. He had success at UH and also did really well at A&M when Johnny Football was behind center. I don't know what happened later on but in typical Aggie fashion they screwed things up by firing him.

Didn't Muschamp just win 9 games at USCE for only the 3rd or 4th time in school history.

Also weren't Pete Carroll and Bill Bllichick retreads.

Sumlin wasn't a flop at A&M, he just never met the standard he set early on Manziel.

Sometimes, coaches fail for exterior reasons. I'm not saying that's the case here of course. They might both fail again.

I mean. Bill Belichick went 36-44 as HC of the Cleveland Browns.

It can happen.

What we hired is much worse than both.

Sumilin is a good football coach. A&M problem is systemic, which is why they haven't won anything of note in the last 50 years.

And yet both are more qualified than O when he was hired at a school known MUCH more for their football. Great point.

LSU is the coach killer. Miles won’t ever coach again and O damn sure will never get a HC gig again. Shows what the rest of college football thinks about LSU head coaches

Give or take a few “star” players, a&m recruited leftovers and their roster hasn’t been insane by any means

this is also true.
An average 3 star roster with a select few 5 star talents at skill positions.

Imagine that. He did well with a 1st rd QB and 1st rd WR.

AZ did this on their last two hires.

Both Rich Rod and Sumlin had just been fired when AZ hired them. That's some lazy bullshite right there.
