Am I allowed to say that I think the bullpens look bad and that the stadium is a mid tier SEC stadium now?
Just because you are incapable of have multiple thoughts at once, doesn't mean everyone else is as well.
Sure, but it's just kind of asinine for a fanbase to constantly bitch about things, especially our venues. The Box and Tiger stadium, that some LSU fans bitch about are ranked at or near the top in the nation by basically every outlet that ranks stadiums and venues. It's just ridiculous IMHO. They're constantly making upgrades and adding new shite to make them better as well...and they will continue to do so, but like i said, some of our fans just like to constantly bitch about the same venues that are so highly acclaimed nationally. Give it a damn break. That's what i have to say. Sorry u don't like it.
U think the box is a mid tier sec stadium...great. A perfect example of what i said many LSU fans suffer from "the grass is always greener". Just do some research and look at what others think of Alex box and where if ranks not just in the sec but nationally. That's all. Have a nice day and Geaux Tigers.
LINK ]This took me 5 seconds to find and is the first site that popped up when googling best ncaa baseball stadium rankings...its by ncaa.com

I’m convinced that the loudest, most obnoxious fans bitching all the time rarely go to the games in person. They don’t like the way the stadium looks like on TV. They see other stadiums and they look better aesthetically on TV, so they bitch.
I go to 7-8 LSU baseball games a season. My experience at the Box is always excellent. I don’t have any too many complaints. I will, however, agree with most that the bullpens on the field and the colored ads on the outfield did cheapen the stadium somewhat.

I like the way it looks now too and like the location of the bullpens but i liked the way it looked before as well. It's alex box and it's unique. But like the poster said above that LSU is a "mid-tier" sec stadium is just crazy talk. Can't let that slide.

That’s great for you. I’m glad you always enjoy you experience. But sitting on metal bleachers in 95 degree weather for 4 hours is pretty damn miserable. That’s 70% of the stadium. It makes it worse whenever it’s a half empty stadium and the usher kicks you out of a chair back in the 5th inning when there are 20 total people in that section.

You’re bitching about some of the same stuff that other people have bitched about. So what’s your point?
I’ll give Alex Box Stadium the credit it deserves, there are some very nice parts. It’s ok to point out things that need to be improved as well. Especially when you are watching other schools around the conference make these improvements. It’s ok for fans to care about the fan experience.

You are entitled to your opinion. It’s definitely behind Arkansas and Mississippi State. Tennessee is in the middle of building a new stadium. Texas A&M is moving forward with a $80 million renovation of their stadium. Ole Miss is trying to move forward with a $45 million renovation. Auburn is finishing up a $30 million renovation.

Next step. The Tiger Rant batters eye. We can do this.
How big is it? 40' x 15'? For a mere $1200 we can lose the hefty bag and get 100% real fake ivy from china via Amazon. Ive got an extension ladder. Anyone have some zip ties? We can auction off little square of the old plastic wall. Pay for the whole project.
Wrigley on the Bayou
9 sections @ ~$130 ea

...And my point in regards to these "planned' renovations/upgrades" is that LSU has and will always keep up with the trends and facility upgrades others actually approve and get accomplished. We will ALWAYS be extremely competitive and continue to make improvements to our facilities...thats not even up for debate. We will see what happens though. I'm kinda burnt out on this topic now, lol. Just glad that LSUs future looks extremely bright and I'm just waiting for the next title to come back to BR. Geaux Tigers.

They are not gonna fix the batter's eye yet. The big plan, according to the old man I talked to last year is to have a concrete concourse wrapped.Around the outfill wall.

Need to replace the batter's eye next year. One of the cheaper looking ones in SEC.
What's the purpose of a batters eye? Not all stadiums have them ,do they? Is it just to help the outfielders position themselves or does it do something for the batter?

white ball + a light sky or multiple background colors and shapes = death

Pretty much all of them do or, at the very least, a raised CF fence. It's why the CF fence at the old Box was raised, solid green and had no ads.

They have been a thing for at least 20 years. I believe every ballpark above high school level has one. I do recall that announcers on afternoon MLB games in the 70-80’s would talk about how hard it was to hit with outfield bleachers full of fans.

on another what batter is infield shifting for?
The outfield is probably also practicing their oppo shift on right handed hitters

BUILD A BERM
Whenever I’m in my seat at a baseball game I always think to myself, “know what would feel better? The ground.”
A berm is just one of those ideas I wonder how the hell got so popular with some of our fans.

I thought nil would do away with plasturing ads everywhere? Hmm i guess its not working out like they thought. Im sure the playera would rather be payed to see their faces on the wall rather than a dumb mcdonalda ad
Ads on outfield walls are as old as baseball itself. Fenway park has adds on the outfield wall. FENWAY PARK. I'm pretty sure almost every major league stadium does.
To me, it just feels right to have ads and not having them makes it look like little league.

100 percent this
Who above age 10 wants to sit on the ground?
Posted on 2/4/25 at 1:13 pm to LSUMJ
I would rather sit on the ground or bring my own chair than sit on the bleachers.

Who sees the BASF ad, and says, I didn’t need any melamine, but now I’m hankering for a few tons of it? I don’t get why some of these companies advertise.
