I support and fully understand what you’re trying to say. But I have the philosophy that when you step out on the playing surface, you should expect to win. If not, they why are you playing? You’re trying to say that we have unrealistic expectations.

Worse that the fans turn on our players and shite on them when they lose a game when we should be supporting them. These are OUR Tigers out there trying their very best for us. They are Tiger players, we are Tiger fans.

In MBB, WBB, and baseball, losing a game is not a problem until it becomes a habit.
LSUWBB is 51-4 over the past 2 seasons. I trust the process that gave us those results. And I expect LSUWBB will play much better Thursday night in Tuscaloosa.

Where did I tell you that we don’t play for wins? Where did I tell you we shouldn’t count on winning every game? I just told you that winning every game in every sport isn’t realistic and that life isn’t perfect. It’s like you expect people to do perfect things. When you come to terms with the fact that we aren’t perfect, you won’t be mad if a player doesn’t make a field goal, misses a free throw, drops a pass, throws an interception, or misses a tackle.

The “outside” pressure, they hear it now. I played HS football for a team with lots of tradition. We heard it when we lost. You hated to lose. Its the pressure of championship places.

You can blame Saban. Ever since 2003 expectations have been unrealistic. Even then we couldn’t go undefeated and never did until 2019. But fans feel losing isn’t an option.
2001 was the most fun I’ve ever had. Basketball wasn’t the best but we’re really fun to watch. Football was winning unexpectedly and baseball was still solid although declining.
