I would happily give to Bayou Traditions, but until they give you an option to earmark which sport(s) your donation benefits, I'm out. That is the number one reason I hear from others who would donate as to why they haven't supported this collective.

You can earmark it dumbass.

The reason we don’t have donations is mouth breathers like you and your friends.

How does the cash back work? I signed up a couple days ago and it says I have donated $1.60 and I don’t believe I used my card on any of the places they offer

Well if that’s what it takes to grow the group I’m sure they will do it. Not a huge deal.

1) Bama doesn't put stupid names to their tiers making them look both more professional and less cheesy.

2) I am not paying more money to some random collective to support the buying of players who should be grateful for all the things they already get for free as part of being a student athlete that others cannot dream of having an opportunity for.

If others want to do it, fine, but this stuff has gotten out of hand and many of these athletes and their families with their hands out has gotten beyond ridiculous in a world where people are struggling to get educational opportunities without going into massive debt and these kids think an equivalent of $200k+ in resources and support for an "education" is worthless in their eyes.

Dumping money to potential star athletes and making money from Name,Image, and likeness is different from what I imagined.

Thinking of autograph sessions for players.
Merchandise sales for players.
Commercials and endorsement deals.

Let's be honest the portal is basically free agency.

Do yall really donate money to help pay players?

These kids already have access to state of the art facilities, treated like gods and get a free education. They don’t need your money.

Exactly. I’m happy to pay for an autograph jersey or something. But to just give money to an organization just to pay players to come to lsu? Even before they have even proved themselves on the field? frick that. That’s just wasting money and making things worse.

It’s a full endorsement of everything broken in college football.

Imagine next year things don’t play out the way Ole Miss hopes… players start sitting & checking out at the end of the season… fans throw fits over the state of CFB not realizing that, by supporting this currently absurd model, they voted to fan those flames.

The point y’all are Missing is the incentives. It’s not the $$ amount. LSU does NOTHING for its season ticket holders in general. Unless you’re in the 1% of taf or some booster club, you get zero perks.

Idk if anyone is missing the point, to me that is the entire point. It’s donating to fund recruiting and free agency.

This is not a normal transaction — They expect you to gift money & the incentive is possibly having a competitive recruiting budget (no rules, so who really even knows what the top 10 looks like)

First of all, that is a very vague value proposition. A&M anyone? Like tipping a delivery driver before food arrives.

Second of all, there is too much revenue in CFB to have player income relegated to donations on some beaurocratic technobullshit. Seriously wtf. It’s a no from me.

Did you read some of the things coming from bama compared to ours? Autographed items, game day experiences, etc.

You’re correct, it’s not a normal transaction. I think more would feel differently if you received something out of it, which you don’t.

It's hilarious how everyone on here wants and expects the best players and coaches, but when confronted with helping achieve that, every excuse in the book comes out. Quit bitching if you not willing to ante up.
