When people outside of this site try to say its a cess pool of idiots, I think of posts like this one and realize that THEY are the idiots.

Sure 99% of the stuff posted here is nonsense but every now and then we get an elegant, subtle pun that makes everything worth it.

That Kmatz guy looks like their Saturday starter, wow that huge

Hunter, who went down in mid-April, was far and away their ace. Both losses were massive blows.

Wait.

I thought LSU was the only team dealing with pitchers being out. Weird.

At least it’s not due to molesting a minor who happens to be your cousin this time!

This is a front. Go look at their season stats of their staff. Several above average relief guys in the 3's.

There's no way LSU could be down 2 starting pitchers....Because they only have 1.

Opponent pitching depth may influence Jay’s decision on who to pitch Friday.

If he sees that these teams have nothing left for a game 4 scenario, he may decide to throw Floyd on Friday.

Well, one of those guys is Jaren Hunter, he's out for the season.

Braden Boisvert 3.07 ERA 13 Appearances 14.2 IP .268 BAA
Ian Lawson 3.44 ERA 18 Appearances 34 IP .206 BAA
Ryan Brown 3.45 ERA 23 Appearances 28.2 IP .210 BAA
AJ Hutcheson 3.64 ERA 24 Appearances 29.2 IP .192 BAA

None of these guys have gone for long outings and they have a game to play on Friday before a potential matchup in the marble game. Less than ideal pitching situation.

Every team is having to deal with injuries so this isn't specific to the beavers. We lost three pitchers this year who were dominant arms

This is false equivalency. OSU lost two of their three starters in the last weeks of the season. One was in their tournament. That is brutal! No time to stretch out other pitchers or get them used to that role. This is like LSU losing Eric Walker in the first game of the championship series against Florida.

Your point is valid a little bit, but neither of them pitched in their conference tourney. One of them haven't pitched since mid April. So not quite as drastic as you are making it out to be.

I didn't realize he was out that long.
