In 2016 it was Florida. A win and we're likely in the Sugar Bowl. It was a game we dominated but lost due to turnovers and a defensive breakdown.
In 2017 it was ND in the Citrus. A win and we secure a 10 win season. Tentative coaching and another defensive breakdown.
This year, it's aTm. Win it and we have a 10 win season, NY6 bowl and perception of the program moves in a more favorable direction.

At some point you have to win these types of games. It's almost a prerequisite to being getting the next level. Clemson was know for "Clemsoning" in such games until they won the Peach Bowl against us. They got over the hump. Now Orgeron has to get over the hump.

The other top 10 wins were what, a scrimmage?

2016 Florida was Orgerons fault?

I agree that this is a big point. Losing these types of games is what ultimately cost Miles his job.

You cannot fault Orgeron in 2016, that was a clusterfrick of a season to say the least.

2017 could've been coached better, but it is not like we got blown out or didn't show up to play.

If he's gonna get credit for the wins, he's gonna get shite for the losses.

Danny's fault we lost to Florida in 2016.
He got smashed at the 1 yard line on a qb keeper. We settle for a field goal

He said late season. The other wins put us in the position we're in, but make no mistake, this is a huge game for Orgeron.

It wasn't totally his fault, but he is the head coach, so ultimately, he was responsible for the team not getting it done against an outmatched UF team. UF seemed to have about half their team injured and made the big plays when LSU didn't. LSU only led 7-3 at half. UF grabbed the lead with over 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and never gave the lead up. We had some decent stats, but UF had the impactful plays.

2016 was on the coaching. Pregame antics were left unchecked and team lost focus--they were fired up but we needed to stay in check. Yes we could have won the game but it should never have been close, we had the better team.

Don't we even get a chance to play A&M first?

When every thing goes well and the team wins, doesn't the coach get credit for having his team prepared to win?

It’s a big reason Miles kept his job for that long too. The OP is making a God’s point for sure.
