Yeah. He's not a starter. That's just how bad things are this season. Your closer is the #1 guy and you had to get lucky that a true freshman (Hillard) was better than anyone could have expected.

Could a catcher, a pitching coach. Phuck, maybe a BAT BOY go out there and give Hess 2 seconds to calm himself? No. Instead they use no timeout and watch him walk in runs.

Gents this game isn’t over but god damn we shot ourselves in the foot early. 3 on, no outs and no runs. Then Hess can’t field a simple ground ball to end the inning.

No, our biggest concern is beating Oregon St, period.
Not the same as a midweek game. LSU would be playing their best available as if it is a weekend game.. which it is.

Do we have any second basemen coming in next year? All year it seems like two players I will not name have left a lot of men in scoring position with less then two outs. They have even screwed up bunting several times, fundamental baseball.

Because managing pitchers in this regional when you're down 4 or 5 in the 3rd inning isn't that easy.
