The situation is serious but open try outs would be a joke. I seriously doubt there is a diamond in the rough out there that be good enough to actually play this year.

There are some walk ons/preferred walk ons that cannot join the team until Aug 21st when classes start if they didn't enroll during the summer.
I'm sure there will be 1 or 2 ol or dl in that group.

and if we have 3 dings on the OL, you realize we have 3 backups that can replace them. in fact, we have 5 starters and 6 backups on the roster right now. any one of these backups are infinitely better than any student doing the oopen try out thing.
no man, it's not keeping coach O up at night. sounds like it's keeping you up. I suggest professional help or drugs. and quit this site completely. you just do not have the make up for it.
