Yes, maybe Bobby Boucher's nephew, Booshay Boucher, will try out.

If you laugh at this suggestion, note that you won't be laughing when we're 7-5 because we had three dings on the OL during critical games and lost those by a touchdown or less.

We could go literally winless in the SEC and this would still be a stupid suggestion.

There are several walk ons that are on the roster and those guys at least have scout team experience as offensive linemen. I'm sure they would be first in line and they will probably add some more walk ons once school officially opens aug 21st.

Uhhhh....open try outs for offensive linemen is pointless. There are VERY VERY few athletic 6'-2"+, 280lb+ guys currently blazing up the intramural teams at the moment.......ever...

That can block a d line made up of stacked NFL prospects.
Do you seriously think we are going to pick up an Un-tapped SEC caliber offensive lineman off LSU's campus????

So an unrecruited walk on OL is going to be what keeps us from 7-5?

This place gets dumber by the day.

I think they should pull a different student out of a tailgate each week to make it interesting. Preferably one that isn't drunk if you can find one.

We have a wealth of talent at D-line who could make the switch and be more effective than any intramural hero that currently attends LSU!

Guys with OL size aren't walking around campus. You move DL backups over before you get too stupid.

They have multiple walk one already. You aren't going to find anyone worth a damn in open tryouts. If we get to walk one we will have issues. We probably won't get down to walk ons. Maybe if both centers go down. Otherwise would take 6 serious injuries. Most of the injuries holding guys out now would not keep
Them out of real games

Why not? It worked out for the South Central Louisiana Muddogs when they turned to the water boy to play linebacker.

This would cripple any offense not matter the o line depth. Not many or any team could afford this type of lost and be ok.

Plus how the hell do you think walk ones are going to be able to make the situation any better?

We won't win a single game because some yahoo showed up at an open tryout. If it's done, it would be purely for camp/practice bodies. You think open tryouts could identify guys who would play ahead of freshmen scholarship players, walkons already on the team or defensive converts?

If so, we're going to be a lot worse than 7-5, baw.

This is the place for folks to congregate to root against the team when they want a coaching change.

Never forget that.
